IMO the key beep delete is a must have.

I think it looks great, and I am glad it worked out for you. Did they have that cover around the radio laying around, or did you provide it?

I am eligible for the pioneer rebate for units purchased 1/7/09 through 3/31/09. The dealer I bought it from doesn't know anything about it, so I emailed Pioneer, I am awaiting a response. Anbody get the rebate or know how to get the rebate?

I live in Paramus. The only reason that I think I want HD radio is so that I can see the artist/ song title. Is it worth it? Wherever you live please tell me your opinion. Or is sirius/xm the way to go?

1. New Knob - The pioneer one is a joke. 2. The key Beep Mute - without it my 900 unit would be at the bottom of the ocean. These were simple ones, but they made the unit so much better.

I haven't any experience with the HD module... Is the MSN status showing active? Mine takes about 10 minutes to gather any Data.

mine is set up like that with a rear DVD/monitor, but with the bypass. I cannot say for sure right now whether or not I can Nav while a movie is playing up front. I am currently out of town until 2/16. I will try it when I get home.

there is a "TTS" after the name of the voice you are using. example on the 900 : "Samantha TTS" or "Jason" (notice no TTS after his name). I had same problem, I prefered Jason's voice, but no TTS available.

www.NUshield.com I have the Dayvue version ($20) on my Mustang convertible's factory Nav and it did help considerably with the direct sunlight and did not effect button pressing at all. I have just ordered one for the 900BT because the direct sunlight effects the 900 more so than the Stang's screen. I am curious about the back key on the 900 with the screen protector, I have a hard time with that key all the time anyway, I will post when I put it on in about a week, I am out of town currently.

When I am not using the BT (disconnected), on a wired headset. Just using the NAV Guidance function. Does the big button mute the guidance?

Does the big button mute the navigation guidance volume as well? Samantha always speaks up when I am on the phone (not linked to the BT). I am too intimidated to try the mute button on the screen mod.

Convenience is worth alot to me. If the shop is on my way to/from work and I can just stop in if there is a problem, because there always is one or two. $200 sounds cheap to me.

Had mine done at Stereo Station 17, Rochelle Park, NJ. (rt4 w to 17 S, about 2miles down on right). It does not seem like they do many of them but I liked the owner, Bruce. His 2 installers have been with him for 20 years and it was on my way to work.. They put the steering wheel modulator in and where able to fix the subwoofer POP after I told them how.

Which HD tuner is compatible with the 900BT?

Just installed my black knurled. Perfect fit, Perfect usability. Don't hesitate to buy one. I cant believe that POS that pioneer had on there.

This is my 1st aftermarket unit and honestly I didn't even consider RDS as being an option. OEM's have been doing it for years. Now, I am surprised I could buy a new one without RDS. Guess I was wrong. Anyone have a screen shot of what the RDS looks like on the HD tuner?

Does not work on mine, just manual freq up/down. The steering wheel volume was a must for me, though the steering wheel controls are now irratic and delayed with the modulator thats installed. Now that the key beeps are gone (with the mod), I love it.

I have 3 wheel buttons. Media Button to change sources (no longer functional w/ 900bt). Seek button + or - (does Advance/change songs on CD or IPOD or SD Card also changes frequency on FM-AM). Volume +/- Button (volume contrl)

I called my wife today while she was in the expy. I thought the sound quality sucked. I could hear myself over the car speakers through my cell and I felt it was hard to hear her. I wasn't impressed. The Mic in the car is over the rear view mirror, I guess it could be closer to the drivers mouth.

I didn't test drive the 900bt before I bought it, only read about it. I started hyperventilating when i realized those beeps are everywhere. They are all gone now, never to be heard from again

I am new at this....before I found the button beep delete mod.... I had thought I fixed the beeps by turning the master volume down all the way. Your symptoms seem like the master volume control is set all the way down. Maybe that is where the problem lies. It may be set down or broken down or software glitch down. good luck

I purchased a couple 12v/5v regulators at radio shack, 1 as a spare, brought them to the original installer (even though they didn't know the fix they had a happy to learn attitude) they installed one and everything is great so far. Thanks for the help.
