  1. the VW radio screen will only work with the VW radio, once the factory fadio is removed, the radio screen(in the instrument cluster) will no longer function
  2. sounds to me like the parking brake wire is not hooked up correctly, or the parking brake is not applied. hooking up the parking brake wire correctly, a hardware bypass, or a software bypass should fix the problem.

  6. i think it was a Peripheral line driver, sorry, i dont know the model #

  8. ive done that a couple of times for audi's, i think they where A4's. most of my customers are happy with a heavy rear fade and the extra cash in there pocket
  9. bypassing the bose wont work to well, most factory bose speakers are 2ohm, and the factory sub wont work any more, however replacing all the speakers, rewiring the truck, and adding a aftermarket sub is a fun and exciting day
  10. anything but scosche (they will work for weeks then burn up and need to be replaced) the metra units work pretty good

  15. alpine has a pretty smooth ipod interface
  16. reground the system, i would run a groung wire from the bose amp to the headunit, and turn down the gain on the interface module. one of the installers at my shop has the same problem with his tahoe
  17. the problem is the power inverter. every customer i have that uses cheap power interverters have this problem,Monster makes a great one that filters out the noise from the power side
  18. the HD Radio is your AM and FM, if you want all three icons to work then yes you need to use a splitter, welcome to the wonderful world of HD Radio XM FTW
  19. eclipse or alpine FTW, personally i would just get another Z-series, if you dont, then you will always want what the other unit does better when your in the car that doesnt have it. plus you dont have to learn two different systems
  20. my cousin saw an infomercial for this thing that you stick into your window and it has a solar panel that powers a small fan that suck the heat right out, he bought two of them, one for each side, and he says they actually work.
  21. i would try it on a friends computer
  22. i would try a resistor with a little higher value, maybe 2k or 2.5k, im not sure, 1450 is what we have in our shop and havent had any problems
  23. the issue is with the pioneer, every one i install does the same thing. even with just using the internal amp and the volume very low, there is a ton more noise than just about every good radio i have used. i have used an Excelon, an Eclipse, and a couple of Alpine's and none of them has had this much noise, its not a problem, its just not the best quality. i would hope that the Premier is better.
