I would say stop by your local audio shop & chat with an installer to see if he would give ya 4 screws & a few spacers instead of buying a huge box from big box for a little job. joe r

If I were you I would find a SIR-PNR2 or 1 for sirius. Reason I say this is Alpine has made teh switch to the 2 mod sirius & I have had a few come back being bad or rigt out of the box being bad. joe r

The other thing off the top of my head would be to see if you have pinched a wire back behind the radio.When you start the car it doesn't work but you drive a bit & turn the car off to have the radio turn back on the next time you turn your key back on & now the deck has moved just enuf to come out of protection mode. joe r

Call pioneer direct & order the cable it will be cheaper & they will send it direct to you. ALso I think on older model pioneer fm changers they were not pbus. What model is your changer? joe r

I have both & I realy like the D3 with the Ipod but I love having the Bigger screen the Z2 has. By what questions you have asked I would say the D3 would be a better choice on the Ipod,bluetooth. As far as better lay out The Z2 takes the cake on that IMO. joe r

My shop has 5 in stock.I almost bought one but the sales man said not to as this was goign to change in 09. I wonder how many of these pioneer has laying around or stores have them instock. joe r

The one thing I am going to feel bad about is the few customers that don't know about the change comming & all these tv tuners that are in stock are going to go super cheap before 09. The one question I do have will it just stay stattic or nothing at all? joe r

The xm screen are going to have alot more info & pictures as pioneer makes there XM tuners. For the sirius tuner they out source from DEI. I like sirius over xm as I have had them both but I do wish the sirius was better laid out as far as teh display... joe r

Or if you want the Nav traffic feature you could do the GEX-P10xmt. joe r

The AVIC-Z2 & AVID-D3 are both great decks.One will be better than the other on choices you make.If yoru dead set on a Z2.I would buy it as you live only once so be happy. Welcome to the forum. joe r
