  1. No clue. I did have the SD card in the unit though, so it could have been on the card.
  2. I post this in the event anyone with a native z130 was as confused as I was after getting to page 10 of this thread and is experiencing issues trying to upgrade. I read the entire thread several times but still had some issues. I believe I got confused with the different Condi Hackmode/testmode versions/stuff. This is what I did: I initially attempted to use the Condi Hack v2.0 by installing it on a card separate from the z140 files. This gave me a RED SCREEN which I hoped was normal. When I installed the z140 CD card it recognized the update and asked for a password. It wouldn't take
  3. I'd say you probably have a bad steering wheel interface module or it's not programmed properly. Did you confirm it's the correct model for your car?
  4. One might think...but there are plenty of times when out running errands with the wife I'd just rather sit in the car
  5. You'll have to run a digital TV tuner through the A/V channel to recieve TV signals now. They come with their own digital antennas. They only work when the car is not moving.
  6. You can run a digital converter through the A/V channel on the unit. I bought one a while back after the conversion for $100. Be warned; digital video only works when completely still. If you move at all the picture is lost.
  7. It's an important feature for those of us who do more than just tinker with Car A/V. When you're messing around with tire size, gearing or other vehicle PCM settings in general, that vehicle dynamics display is a nice feature and lets me know I programmed everything correctly... Glad I checked this thread. There are several issues here that would make me think twice about purchasing one of these new Z units. I think I'll wait for the next version.
  8. Yes, I think that's correct... bit of confusion with release date and database date.... Latest release is June '09, with apparently the Jan.09 database.... That's what I've been trying to tell you guys
  9. That's not the June09 update...It's the January 09 update.
  10. That sounds like a writing program issue. What program did you use to write the info?
  11. Yes, I think so. I believe you misunderstood my post. Mines an upgraded Z3 as well. The problem is with the native Z3 units (bought as a Z3). If you have the Euro equivalent of a Z1/2 and did the software upgrade to a Z3 the gracecnote update with the .inf and .txt will work on it and the June will not. A Z3 unit, sold as a Z3 WILL update with the provided Euro update sans the inf and txt files. A Z1/2 upgraded to a Z3 still requires the Gracenote update with the INF and TXT files. If you have a pre-Z3 unit and update it with the Z3 gracenote fix it won't make a difference because th
  12. The file on the European site is for an upgraded/fixed Euro Z3 (I forget the model number) and it does not require the extra files for updating the gracenote database. The native Z3 models require a different method of update and it was fixed with a Z3 update. I have tired adding those files to it, adding the DB files to an older update, etc. and it still says "Failure to verify version information". Just gonna have to wait until pioneer provides the US pre-Z3 updates.
  13. Negative. Probably won't see one anytime soon either. The problem with digital vs analog is that it doesn't travel well. Meaning, it works great sitting still. Once you start moving the digital stream can't be sustained. People have been trying everything from really long antenna to amplified antenna's and a combination of the two. No joy. It's actually easier to pick up a sat signal moving versus a terrestrial digital signal...
  14. I know, but I would like the June Gracenote update as I've bought a lot of CDs since January that are not in the database...
  15. No workie for updated z1/2 units. The download is missing the INF file that tells the units which version the update is...you will get "Version read failed" message.
  16. Nice. Canadians should beta test everything for the rest of us
  17. Check your settings in Nero to conform to the following: â’ You can only use a CD-R (-RW) finalized with single-session. â’ You can only use a CD-R (-RW) finalized with “Mode1â€.
  18. What program are you using to burn the CD? Nevermind, I see you're using Nero. What brand of CD? I've heard that some types don't work so well. I use standard CD-R's from Office Depot. Never have an issue. There are also other "rules" for buring CDs mentioned in the manual.
  19. They can be quite difficult. The first few times I had to take them out they turned just fine. I took my HD out a couple of weeks ago to update the XM Icons and not a single one would budge. I ended up rigging my external hard drive housing so that I could hook it up without taking the screws out...
  20. If memory serves, you just have to keep rebooting. You should notice that the % complete bar still keeps counting up even though it says it fails. I recall going through this with mine and it took some time as well was very frustrating. Another option is to purchase an already updated hard drive from a certain member here that sells them...
  21. The Navtraffic box uses a data port (NOT the IP cable) connected directly to the back of the AVIC. Try disconnecting that.
  22. Everything is better after an update
  23. Hmmmm No clue. Maybe you have a bad CD-UB100? You might want to try doing the available software upgrade to your unit...at least to the Z2 software and see if that fixes it. Also, return the CD-UB100 and get a new one.
  24. Make sure the ACC+ wire is not hooked up on the GEX-P10XMT. This wire is not used if you use the IP cable.
  25. Which Avic? Z1, 2 or 3? Native or upgrade?
