    Deleting library

Make sure you are in albums mode. Touch the info button and there should be a delete button on the bottom.

    3d map view

I don't think the 3D view works for all those 60 cities. I get a detailed view in Chicago, but it ain't 3D and I have it in 3D mode.
  3. whatcha gonna do when you hit the 400 album limit?
  4. That $40+ is if you want to keep the data intact. The HDD is an automotive grade HDD. They are pretty expensive. You might be better off selling it and buying a regular laptop HDD.
  5. I'm that ebay guy above. pm me if anyone is interested. I got a few ready to ship. Special AVIC411 discount: $110 shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=006 paypal only or cash with free install at my house in Chicago.
  6. You can use any audio cd, but it will only name the tracks for you automatically IF they are legit/legal CD's and IF its in the database. But it will rip any audio cd you stick in there. nope, it will list the songs if you put cd-text on the cd.
  7. 20GB may be just about the practical limit for the music partition. If we are limited to 400 albums, then you will never be able to fill 40GB of music. I am at about 330 albums so I'll post what happens if I ever get to 400. I got to 400 artists and it did indeed max out. This was with the Z1, I am not sure if anything has changed with the Z2.

    Swapping HDDs

Can you take a HDD from a Z2 and put it in a Z1 without unlocking and removing the security?

    I hate my Z2!

Sounds like your friend needs a good butt-kicking.
  10. HD3BT is a Z2? OK. This one took me a while to notice, so don't feel bad. Highlight the album and hit the info button. On the bottom left of the screen there should be a sort playlists option. Use that to put the album into any order you want.
  11. I have called them several times and the best they would give me is to put me on a waiting list. Here is the phone number: 866-214-1310 Part No.: CNDV-700HD They said it won't be available for weeks. If anybody has one available I would like to purchase it.
  12. it doesn't affect navigation. once you fill the HDD it won't let you record any more CDs.

    Z2 Image

Is the Z2 image available for download?
  17. The CNDV-700HD is the upgrade disc that basically makes a Z1 into a Z2. After this upgrade the circuit flasher bypass will no longer work and you will have to do the "2 wire bypass". The main advantage is that you will have all the new maps and upgraded POIs.
  18. Right, that is why there was a delay in releasing the upgrade disc. They changed it just like they changed the Z2 software. Nobody would have bought the upgrade disc if it would disable the bypass.
  19. Upgraded what to what? 1st Gen Z1 - > Bluetooth Updated Z1? Either Z1 -> 1st Gen Z2? If you're asking if this disc will allow a unit to bypass by flashing the lights, I'm gonna say 'no', even though I have no direct evidence of that. I know it wont work I upgraded from z1 to z2 and the bypass for z1 doesn't work anymore. Everyone knows the flashers bypass won't work anymore because it puts the bluetooth update on the Z1. After you use the Z1 to Z2 upgrade does the 2 wire bypass still work? That is the only question still left unanswered.
  20. Is it 1000 albums or 400? I see folders for 1000 albums, but doesn't the manual say it can only store 400 albums. I know it said that for artists and it turned out to be true. I ripped about 300 albums and used about 15GB. If 1000 albums is the limit then 50GB of music storge might be feasible.
  21. Albums and artists are indeed limited to 400. Once you get to the limit you can still rip more CDs, but the Artist won't be listed. Haven't got to 400 albums, but I think it will erase your first album.
