You need to bypass it. Search for Z2 bypass info. There is a ton of it here.

I get this nag on my D2 WITH XM nav traffic. I called Pioneer, they said it's the cable. It's not.

If you want to see a horrible Sirius display, try a D2 with Sirius. It won't even display the channel number.

I have had close to 300 ebay transactions and only 1 went bad. And I was partialy refunded by ebay for that one. I bought a Z1, D2, 2 XM nav traffics, and a bunch of other stuff.

I wouldn't let CC install a Garmin Nuvi.

That seems a bit high. I think I paid about $300.00 plus any parts.

I had a 03 Dodge Ram with Sirius. I think the tuner is under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. That's the way I remember it.

My days of crawling under a dash are over. I had it installed at a high end auto radio shop. It can be done.

I have an 02 Excursion with a factory DVD player. It's hooked up to my AVIC D2. It works better than the factory system. I can watch DVD's on my AVIC being played on the factory DVD player. I can listen to satellite or reg. radio while kids watch DVD using headphones. You can also use your factory steering wheel controls. Crutchfield is wrong, you probably have to get it installed by a pro. BTW, my brother-in-law is a road shop manager at Circuit City, he also told me it wouldn't work.
