  1. Well thank you Mr. Miyagi, lemme know when Mahatma Ghandi shows up to give his schpeel on the matter. You can continue to be welcoming and friendly and I'll continue to be "that internet guy" who finds it necessary to belittle nubs for asking repetitive questions. Im too old to demand lunch money anymore so this is the next best thing. It's sad that you feel the need to be so combative. I thought this was a place to help each other. You define it as combative and I see it as merely pointing out the harsh facts. Fact 1..... no one likes it when the new guy asks old questions when

  3. No, i will knock him because these posts get old. Its been discussed... over and over and over again...... there are several threads just like this one and they all say the same thing. But you're right, i should be helpful.... so here ya go... Hey guy, use the search function. You'll find this topic has already been discussed to death. Now go choke yourself. Helpful enough?
  4. Ok guys, how many times are we going to have to see posts like this?

Those settings are defaulted that way with the z2. All you need to do is change the phone settings in the z2 to mute the music on phone calls and also you can turn the volume down on the phone call so their voices are not so loud. Read the manual, it helps.
  6. Ok, heres the real story behind the false directions she gives you. She is actually employed by the big oil companies. Her job is to simply make your trip longer so that your gas consumption increases. Thereby increasing the frequency in which you purchase petrol. Which, obviously, makes them more money. Pioneer is in cahoots with the oil companies and is doing their part to insure those companies continue their world domination because Pioneer gets its kick backs in the form of high priced porn stars and booze. Its a sick circle of lies. Oh, and of course (like was said earlier), the dir
  7. Interesting. So you got into that menu, did you change anything? Also, is your p-brake wire grounded? From what im gathering from what you're saying, you got into the menu, your unit then locked up and you reset it several times. This did nothing, then today (or whenever it was) you turned your car on and now the unit is bypassed completely. Does that about cover it? If so, i think you're either extremely lucky, or you changed something in that menu and didnt realize it. OR.... you fubar'd your unit, something is broke, but you havent realized it yet. I'm going to hold off on entering tha
  8. Could you post up the instructions on how to get into this menu you got into?
  9. Did you not read what he said? OEM stuff it comes with is NOT awesome, its sub standard when compared to the z2. No GPS, no ipod, no sat radio, no voice...... so it was a glorified am/fm/cd backup camera. YAY..... I would actually have been a bit put off if I bought something like that and those things werent standard. Anyway, maybe you could boost it or something and then throw some gauges in that empty space around the z2....
  10. LoL, nice warning tags. You military or something?
  11. Im curious, what was the stock setup capable of? GPS? DVD? If so, what was wrong with it? Or was it that it didnt have as many options as the z1? Because, from the the look of it compared to the z1, the stocker looks better. Just my opinion. The plate your installer made looks nice, dont get me wrong, but all that space on either side...... Makes the screen look lonely... lol. LoL... and to mazdaspeed.... come on man. If the guy can afford a lambo, do you really think he cares about tossing a couple more g's at his cars radio?
  12. You two are both taking what 8AxleEd said waaaaaaay too personally. Obviously hes got quite a bit of knowledge on the subject. Yes he came across kind of abrasive and a little "holier than thou," but he is giving his experience and knowledge and helping by turning you away from avenues that will lead nowhere. Or, that will lead to more headaches that are not needed. I will say that between you guys bickering at each other it looks more like a "whos cock is bigger" contest, or in this case "whos brain is bigger," and less like people working together towards a common goal.
  13. We're both right. A true car enthusiast can appreciate ANY car for what it is. Im an import guy through and through but I have the utmost respect for the big block guys as well. Watching a late model mustang or f-body stand up on its rear wheels and then go ripping down the 1320 is a spectacle all itself. On the flip side of that, watching a 4 cylinder grocery getting import turn 10, 11, and 12 second passes is equally impressive. Stop the ignorance
  14. They should learn from these guys: http://www.jawbone.com/meet.html But I also think that a more directional micrpophone would yield better results. daaaaaaamn, that was impressive. Would be nice if ours worked like that.
  15. What do you mean by that??? He means he's a narrow minded dip shit who cant appreciate a vehicle for what it is. Thats what he means.
  16. Exactly my point. And the "reputable" part was more sarcasm then anything else, as I dont consider these people reputable at all. EDITED: And in other news this thread http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6450 is getting more and more interesting and looks to be quite promising. I say this with a bit of a biased opinion though, as I honestly believe the bypass solution is in the software as well as with the p-brake ground.
  17. Ive read countless posts in the z1/z2 forum about people who need help with the "backyard bypass" that is currently being used by many people who cant wait for a true bypass for the z2. What strikes me as completely insane is that many of these people are installers and they are using this method on customer cars. My question is this.... what the hell are you doing? Why would you even consider using this hack job of a method on a paying customers car? Is the customer fully aware of what this bypass entails? Or are you merely saying "yeah we can bypass it, sign this release and I'll do it.

With 6 out of 10 units failing at launch, i'd be suprised to hear too many people saying they have one. As for the 360, im on there as well. I play r6v as well as gears. I also play the hell outta Tiger Woods, but not online, I dont like how it plays online.
  19. Yes its possible, as I have an 07 Camry SE and I use my steering wheel controls. Just had to get that pac unit that can be found at the above URL posted by wht.
  20. What kind of phone and how old is it? Also, where is it positioned in relation to the z2?
  21. LOL, perfect example of what Im talking about. Might want to tell that VP of yours to keep his tech advice/knowledge to himself.
  22. VP of sales giving tech advice? Thats like trusting a car salesman with what he says about the cars he sells. He knows what hes read, thats about it.
  23. may god have mercy on your pm inbox.
