  1. Do you have the speedpulse wire connected ?
  2. Are you sure you haven't just got it set to that mode ?? You can set it 2 ways, one is North up, the other is drivng direction up (which means the map will rotate around your position...) You switch between the nodes by touching the compass arrow in the map screen....
  3. OK. my mistake. but are you sure the European and USA versions are really the same, despite having the same name ?... As it's also a firmware update, I expect there to be differences....
  4. CNDV-1000HD is for european units only (HD1/HD2/HD3) and not compatible with the USA Z-type models....
  5. Reading the manual might help... You need to push the same button you used to fold down the screen......
  6. Sounds like the permanent +12V wire (yellow wire) is not hooked up (correctly) ....
  7. There's either a problem with the power connection, or the unit is just defective and needs to be repaired....
  8. First of, try a reset. Secondly, it's not a good idea to leave the speedpulse not connected...... connect it, that's what it's for
  9. Be aware that the new CNDV-1000HD Europe is also out, if you're going to upgrade..
  10. Because it saves you money whilst you try out things....
  11. In that case, are you sure it's not a problem with the mute input/wire on the unit ?
  12. It probably won't, as it could also be the amps overheating.... Unplugging the RCA to the amp won't tell you anything in that case....
  13. It's probably going to take a long, long time if ever, so I wouldn't hold your breath...
  14. I think you don't get that if you disable the "close up" view.....
  15. That would require dual zone, which the 920 does not have. So you'd need the Z110/120 , or use a separate DVD player
  16. Yes, it closes the screen You have to press it once, briefly. In the Z2/Z3 manual it also clearly states this.....(open/close button)
  17. You just use the "open/close" button you also needed to open the screen.... (leftmost hardware button below the screen...)
  18. It's not as if it's usefull to anybody, as it's not cracked and you still need the password
  19. You can adjust the volume for the different sources, see chapter 16 of the manual: Adjusting source levels Source Level (source level adjustment) lets you adjust the volume level of each source to prevent radical changes in volume when switching between sources. ? Settings are based on the FM tuner volume level, which remains unchanged. 1 Compare the FM tuner volume level with the level of the source you wish to adjust. 2 Touch [source Level] in the Audio Settings menu. 3 Touch [+] or [–] to adjust the source volume. +8 to –8 is displayed as the source volume is increased or de
  20. According to the last screen, you seem to be receiving zero satellites. Unless your car was parked inside a garage, either the connection to the GPS antenna could be loose, or your GPS antenna is screwed.....(assuming it was working before)
  21. Check via the hardware menu if you're actually receiving sufficient satellites. If not, perhaps there's a bad connection, or a defective GPS antenna. You can also try resetting the calibration, that often helps in cases like this....

    Z110BT v. X920BT

The Z110/120 has dual zone audio/video....
  23. You cannot use the standard windows software to burn discs... You need a program like Nero...
  24. You can check if you're receiving enough satelites with sufficient strength from the installation menu of course.... Some cars have heat reflecting windscreens, that have a very thin metalic coating. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case with BMW. That would certainly block reception.... I assume you also reset the calibration on the Pioneer after moving it from one car to another....
