  1. My unit is the 8000, I have not noticed any issues after the update. I use a iPod classic for lossless music and audio books, the resume play functions properly. If I had a SSD, the resume play disfunction would be enough reason to skip this update.
  2. Have you tried shutting down all unused apps on the phone? Rebooting the phone does not kill them. You must double tap the home button, then swipe the app to be killed towards the top of the screen. I have no idea if it will help, but it will, at least, remove one possible cause.
  3. I am experiencing the same issues on my 8000, quite annoying!

Nice job, it looks good in your dash. Does the microphone pick up your voice well enough in that spot?
  5. I agree with notarola, we need more information. Though I would not expect most factory speakers to handle the watts pushed by your 4000.
  6. I find Call sound quality to be satisfactory via CarPlay, I've not noticed any issues. I've not made a final decision on Navigation via Apple Maps. Only complaint is Siri leaves much left to desire, yet handy when I comply with her imperfect search contexts. Overall, I am underwhelmed by CarPlay, but I did not purchase my 8000 because of it. Still, I find myself using it, so that says something!
  7. I use the same microfiber cloth that I use for my iPad, iPhone, and corrective lenses, with a light amount of solution sprayed onto cloth, not onto the screen. The solution is something my optician provided me as safe to use with anti-reflective coating. This works effectively.
  8. I bought the 8000 because of the capacitive screen. Other considerations, though not exclusive to the 8000: - 13 band EQ - dual USB - large screen
  9. I just had my 8000 installed on Tuesday, July 1. The first things I did was set the eq to flat, adjusted the amp gains by ear, and ran AuotEQ; to my hearing, the improvement was significant. I did tweak the x-over to 100 Hz and slope to -18db post autoEQ. I'll make further tweaks as I listen and identify needed improvements. It always amazes me the differences in opinion, and still more so how frequently some assign idiocy as the source of opinions that don't match theirs. My settings are for my pleasure. Having said that, I am puzzled by some of what AutoEQ set for speaker distance.
  10. Another success story, thanks to the leaders on this thread for providing the files, the knowledge, and the instructions. I copied/pasted/edited Creef412 status report on page 12 because it does a good job structuring the steps taken and results observed. My Unit: Z130BT running the Firmware Update Version 3.001 from Pioneer website. On Laptop running Win7 - 32 Bit: 1. Copied RenewalIFLib-AUTO-REPLACER v1.2 script and RenewalIFLib file from page 1 of this thread to freshly Quick-Formatted FAT32 8GB usb drive. 2. Copied CNSD-310FM files from the Z140 Files.rar (I DID NOT replace the
  11. I've had a Z130BT in my Yukon for 6 months, it ntegrates well with my phone and ipod, but Nav sucks. I would not buy another AVIC because of the crappy Nav. I do like the phone/BT connections for making calls hands free; I'm a traveling salesman and I use it for business calls. I have XM and a 160GB iPod - these work nicely. I also added the PAC steering wheel control module and this works very well. Finally, I have a rear camera connected and it too works well. However, the Nav really sucks - it's cumbersome and the routes it selects are a joke. I've had Garmins and this pales in
  12. You must have the Sirius Tuner and Pioneer Bus adapter installed. Once installed, you select Sirius as the source via the on screen interface.
