  1. Again, it's totally unsupported and you may find some things not working like you would expect (like FM tunings, voices, etc), but I believe you may be able to get nav/maps working. You will need to use everything from EU update, except take cardinfo.cif from US update, but make sure you use the changes for X920BT as I had in my US instructions.

    F9220bt

get the f920/x920 service manual and look at the connector diagrams of power harness (for PKB wire) and A/V harness (for KMODE wire)
  3. does your car have in inline amp? according to the owners manual, the amp s/n ratio should be much better: Power output ............................. 14 W RMS × 4 Channels (4 W and ≦ 1 % THD+N) S/N ratio ....................................... 91 dBA (reference: 1 W into 4W)
  4. also 256k aac/m4a sounds great (i think a little bit better than 256k mp3). I rip from itunes w/ "Itunes Plus" setting, which works great.
  5. i cant see what those files are, but either one are probably the same. would suggest reading the update manual: Owners Manual The instructions how to upgrade bluetooth are in there.
  6. There is a Firmware folder that comes with the update.
  7. if you are going to buy it new, wait for the z150bh. Looks like significant improvement to navi and ui over previous generations. There are several other threads here discussing the features of new 50's series.
  8. if you updated your unit software, you may have reset the settings. You will need to go back into the audio input settings on pioneer and set av1 input to ipod source.
  9. If your unit does not boot into testmode, then it will not boot into regular mode which is required to do upgrade. So no.
  10. if your unit does not boot into testmode with the following TESTMODE.KEY file placed on a FAT32 formatted sd card, then your unit is probably toast. supertestmode.zip
  11. somehow you changed the polarity of your reverse camera in the units settings. Read the owners manual at pioneer website to either do full reset or fix the settings back.
  12. go to pioneers website, download operation manual and read how to reset the unit

if PRG.FLG does not exist in USER folder, then your unit uses the software in PRG0 Now - what application version is your unit using? (You can find out by going to service info screen and holding top left corner for 3 secs.) Where you do the hex edit depends upon which version you are editing. Also, why did you start a completely new thread for this? There is already a thread for this topic You probably shouldn't be messing around with your unit if these instructions cannot be followed: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35523-remove-caution-nag-screen-bypass-hack/page-1&
  14. Do you have 3.24 bluetooth fw version running on the z110? Have you tested it with the stock rom on the phone instead of custom rom (custom roms known to have bt issues)?
  15. Sorry cannot help you with illegal things. If you have legitimately obtained version of CNSD-310FM, then my method is a simple way for you to install your legal software without having to enter the password. The cardinfo.cif does not contain version information - only hardware model information. It's just a "marker" file that indicates to the unit that there is an upgrade card inserted. It has a list of hardware models encoded into it, so that is why certain cardinfo.cif's work only on certain models. Because the cardinfo.cif provided in some updates are only for certain models (like f930
  16. no. you can go straight to this update. Did you read my instructions about editing cardinfo.cif for f10,f20,f920? If you have the right cardinfo.cif for your unit, then it will ask you to upgrade as soon as you insert the update sd card
  17. did you use 7-zip/winzip and password avic411 ? Just tried it again, and now im getting same error. colorblue, can you re-upload?
  18. you dont need to upgrade to cnsd-210fm or any intermediate version. You can take f10+ or f920+ straight to 2012 (cnsd-310fm) software. You may just need to edit or use cardinfo.cif from previous version. See the instructions in the appropriate 2012 update thread. It's really not that hard!
  19. If you want to use ipod cable with control from head unit, it will have to be connected to AV1 on av harness in the back, using the proper pioneer (or equivalent cable) that has usb, video, and stereo audio rcas, with dock connector on the other end. Alternatively, i think you can use the apple composite cable (which some people like better). Be warned about using ebay aftermarket clones of apple composite cables.
  20. Chlarikd they are not timely, but pioneer does have "updates" that bring your unit up to same as latest model. They are the yearly map updates. They are expensive but you can make an x920 run the same software as 940 or z110 run same software as z140. Now this may all change with new 50 series because of new ui and nav, which would be a major needed update - currently pioneers ui is tired and just unpolished and the nav is worst-in-class. Because of new hardware this might be changing this upgrade ability for older units. But then again If that were the case and we are talking about a new ge
  21. How are you trying to enter test mode? With sd card and testmode.key or by button presses? Try pulling radio fuse or power (both yellow and red wires) for 10 minutes or so.
  22. what version of software is your unit running?
