I don't know how the X930BT displays the street names. Sometimes, you only see the streets parallel to yours which I find really useless because you usually want to see the street you're about to cross. I never could find a way to change that. Maybe you see all the street names around you if you zoom in a lot, but then, you don't see far away enough to know what's coming.

Welcome to the wonderful world of CondiHack. Administrators enjoy seeing your unit become useless. There are so many poor souls victim of CondiHack that I keep a permanent link to my original 3.00 AV.exe for my X930BT. Should do the trick. https://www.dropbox.com/s/cptox6ucyfmzgk6/Av.exe

Actually, I had purchase this card for my phone, not my X930BT. So, I can't tell if it would have worked or not. As for the "Money back guarantee", yeah, I got caught in that trap too. The card was $17 (it wasn't listed $50+) and PayPal said "Well, the seller can't be reached. You're entitled for a full refund! Just return the item to the seller's address and provide us with the tracking number to prove you sent it". Cost to send the fake card with a tracking number: $17! I ended up buying a Class 10 32gb Kingston micro SDHC for $27 and it rocks.

The brand is irrelevant. Go to the seller's page and read the negative comments. Most of them are for this 64gb card about people complaining that it doesn't work. It also specifies that the seller does not offer returns. Add this to 64gb class 10 at $16.50 = fake. Once you get it, run a SD card benchmark on it and I doubt you'll get the said 10 mb/s. Also, do a FULL format on it (not a quick format) and watch the error list. Just giving my opinion from personal experience. Good luck.

Yeah, I also once bought a cheap 64gb micro SDHC card from eBay. It had a terrible transfer rate and gave lots of errors. I contacted SanDisk who said the serial number was invalid (meaning that it was a fake card) and the seller could not be reached. If you bought a *aheum* "SanDisk" card, there's a big chance that you'll get the same thing.

problem with the Condi's HACKMODE v2.2 on f20bt
Lyverbe replied to ditch's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Super. Une autre victime de HackMode v2.21 de sauvé! Il y a le proverbe anglophone que dit "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Donc, si ton appareil fonctionne bien, ne touche pas au dossier HACKMODE. Je dirais avec 95% de certitude que tu peux effacer le dossier, mais je suggère que tu le laisses là s'il ne fait aucun mal. -
problem with the Condi's HACKMODE v2.2 on f20bt
Lyverbe replied to ditch's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Bonne chance! -
problem with the Condi's HACKMODE v2.2 on f20bt
Lyverbe replied to ditch's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Well, "USER" is not an option. It's a directory in the unit's file system. If you cannot see the directory, your unit will not work because it requires it. I don't know if installing an update would reinstall the directory. I've never tried it or heard of someone who did.

You probably don't have the updated TESTMODE.key file that enables the copy/paste functions. Search for it in the forums of this site.

F920BT Brick? No boot! No reading testmode from SD
Lyverbe replied to marx74's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
You need to have a PRG0 folder inside your USER folder. If you don't, your unit will not work. I have never heard of a key combination to skip something on the unit. -
F920BT Brick? No boot! No reading testmode from SD
Lyverbe replied to marx74's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Just restore your backup. You did take a backup... did you? If not, is there a PRG1 folder? it might have the files you need. -
HackMode v2.21 saved the day. That's a first! Glad it all worked well for you.

I don't know about the other members, but I see posts using the "New Posts" feature of the forums. If you edit an existing post, it won't show up as a new posts and we won't see it. That's how I explain it. ... but yes, we're also sick and tired of fixing HackMode v2.21 screw ups I've shared my X930BT original AV.exe (3.001) on my DropBox for you: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cptox6ucyfmzgk6/Av.exe Good luck.

A lot of users can help you, but we're so tired of fixing damages caused by HackMode v2.21 that we're giving up. I've suggested many times to administrators to add a huge "WARNING" message next to the v2.21 download link, but they don't. We, the users, are stuck helping the poor souls who installed v2.21 So... AV1.EXE is a backup of AV.exe. You should be able to restore your original AV.exe with it. The PRG.FLG file has no content. It's an empty file that indicates the system which USER folder to use. If I remember correctly, the system will use the USER\PRG folder if the PRG.FLG

First, get rid of HackMode v2.21. Destroy it, obliterate it, throw it in fire and burry it very deep. Second, "install" TestMode v1.4 on a SD card and boot your device with it. There won't be any keyboard because you'll use the device's knob/buttons to input your requests. If there are missing options, search the updated TESTMODE.key on this site to activate them. USER folder and NAND folder are two very different folders. If you have a USER folder, back it up. Try installing a map update to (hopefully) restore your device back to normal.

You have to make sure that the lighting wire is connected to your car's lighting switch. In my case (X930BT), it's the unit's orange/white wire. Look in your installation manual.

avic x930bt keyboard issue at password screen
Lyverbe replied to Hankjs88's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Pull the hand brake. Without that, the keyboard is disabled. -
When CondiHack v2.21 screwed up my unit, I was also able to bring it back to life just by deleting the PRG.FLG file. I mentioned that in several posts.
-
Stay away from CondiHack v2.21. Only use v1.14. Nothing to "install", just copy the files on the SD card and boot the module with it.

It happens to me too but very rarely. I'd say about once every 9 months. Can't say why.

2012 US/CAN Maps - CNSD-310FM/UC upgrade (updated to supereasymethod - beta)
Lyverbe replied to pionara's topic in Hacks/Mods
From what source? If you're talking about the 2012 US/Canada maps, it should be 228 files (5.61gb). Well, at least, that's what I have.
