1. I just checked my email and my order shipped. I ordered it late late last night (see original post). That item sold out fast. Hope others were lucky too.
2. Update: Looks like it is sold out at the Pioneer store...again. For those who got in on this deal can you post yay or nay. Maybe we will have a sense of how many units Pioneer has. If Pioneer can't keep it stocked imagine the issues resellers have. Again, please respond to this post if you were able to buy one from the Pioneer site. Thanks.
3. Go to the Pioneer store right now before they sell out. Here is a link. Enjoy! 8)
4. Okay folks just checked the Pioneer store online and they have the Bluetooth adapter in stock and ready to buy. Here is a link. Just click the "Buy Now" button and you are on your way. They do charge shipping and tax (at least for a CA purchase). My total came out to be around $133...much better than fleebay. Enjoy! 8)
5.
The sound installer was so impressed he says that he is going to order a bunch to sell/install for his clientelle!!! Job Well Done Ducatiboy!!! -Steve
Remember to only buy the flasher from the authorized seller/manufacturer! 8)
6. I wonder if Pioneer is providing this new batch to all their sellers? I will check around and see what's out there.
7. I wanted to keep this thread on top...if anyone knows where to get this module please post. (don't post suggestions to go to fleebay...legit seller only!)
8. Same here...it was easy to deal with GEICO. They asked how much and that was that.
9.
If pioneer's IR remote can do it (and I don't know if it can) you could get a SWI-X but I really don't like the IR blaster solution. Wired is so much better.
Here is a link to the description of the IR remote for the Z1. Hope this helps.
10. Too bad you had a crappy experience with your installer(s). That was the main reason I did the installl myself. There are too many shortcuts an unqualified installer can make which may not necessarily be evident. Enjoy the Z1 but don't stare too much while you are driving... :P
11. Hello Racbor, From the function list I saw on the PAC website, there are no phone functions built-in the PAC unit. Pioneer has a wireless remote that attaches to the steering wheel (I have it) and it allows you to use the phone. I bought mine on the Pioneer website.
12. I thought you can program any of the available funtions on the PAC unit. Am I correct?
13. I've got 8 orange bars and one goes to yellow. To the left of the satellite icons is a green vertical bar (like the ones seen on a cell phone). The most I got was 2. My antenna is mounted in my dashboard, no metal above the antenna. The antenna is completely stealth same goes with the Sirius antenna. So far no problems with reception on either antenna.
14. Good Job! It would be neat to see it torn up before you put it back together...it gives us a better sense of what you were up against.
15. To answer you iPod question, there is no way to get to the artist list faster. This is one of the complaints of the iPod interface and the Z1. The thing I did was to create playlists and that helped access the music a little faster.
16. Just installed the AVIC Z1. I have a Honda Ridgeline and I purchased a antenna connector adapter from Crutchfield that converted the Honda connector into a Motorola male type connector that the Z1 needs. The FM reception is not bad but the AM is terrible. Is anyone else having problems like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
17. Just finished installing my Z1 with the DucatiBoy add-on...works like a charm. This guy is good. Now the trick is learning how to use this new toy...man, this thing has a lot of functions.
18.
$160.00 for a new BC1 is about the best that I have heard.
Do you have the name of the store where you found this price? TIA
19.
Well, this is just a discussion thread, so just as a FYI, I have now have my first employee. And no I don't pay benefits... no dental either. Actually just a co-worker, one of the techs at my office said he could use the money so he is going to help me pump these out. Right now I'm running real close to running out of stock and he has all the rest of the parts I need to build them. Hopefully he will be as fast as he says he will be and I won't get into another back order situation. But this coming week might get a little slow with the shipping turn around. Sorry f
