  1. In answer to #5, you will need a composite a/b video switch. They're not that uncommon. I would guess radio shack would have them. Here's a link to one on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ocean-Matrix-OMX-VIDEO-AB-Composite-Video-RCA-Input-Expander-Switch-/200775929453?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ebf2d8e6d
  2. How does the unit find the ipod if it's not hooked up to it? Is this through usb?
  3. Nobody has dismantled an SPH-DA110 yet, but it appears identical to the DA100 except that it can stream music through bluetooth. This appears to be a firmware difference only. I'm sure some brave soul will try to upgrade the appradio 2 with this firmware if they can get hold of it. Pioneer does guard things closely. If you're planning on using ARLiberator, then there is no advantage.
  4. The FM tuning in Europe is also different, so there's a good chance you won't receive near as many radio stations, either.
  5. The Pioneer kit comes with a standard 5 pin mhl adapter. The newer Samsung phones have 11 pin mhl. From other posts, it's best to obtain a genuine Samsung 5 to 11 pin adapter to prevent video "snow" issues caused by counterfeit adapters sold on ebay or amazon.
  6. Are you positive you hooked the brake wire above the switch? If you hooked it below the parking brake switch, it would be in a permanent ground state and wouldn't work, unless your Appradio 2 is a European model.
  7. Do you have a parking brake bypass installed? Several apps will remain greyed out unless you apply/release/reapply the parking brake, or have a switch or bypass installed on the US models. European models only need the parking brake wire from the HU to be grounded.
  8. The list on Pioneer's site is indeed very outdated. Generally, if your phone has hdmi or mhl out, it should work with Pioneer's app.
  9. Audio and video are through hdmi. Phone and touch events use bluetooth.
  10. The microbypass isn't really necessary in the U.K. All you have to do is hook the parking brake wire from the HU to any available ground. European versions of the appradio aren't as lawyered up as the U.S. versions.
  11. If the relay isn't clicking when you turn on the ignition, then you either haven't got it wired properly or you have a faulty relay. As VBLUE42 says, get the microbypass and save yourself a hassle.
  12. Someone did this over on the appradio forums. This Russian gentleman was in the same situation as you and he reported that reflashing to the European firmware was a complete success. FM bandwidths and even the parking brake issue.
  13. You just said App Radio. I didn't know from that statement that we were being iphone specific. Sorry about that. What about dynolicious? Isn't that similar to dash command?
  14. The audio and video are taken care of by the HDMI. The touch events are handled by bluetooth. I'm not sure how the iphone 5 is handled, but dannyz is quite knowledgeable on this. ARLiberator is a google app that allows rooted android phones to do pretty much the same thing. I do like the idea and nothing is impossible.
  15. Yes it will. You will need a slimport adapter for your hdmi cable and that's about it.
  16. Torque runs great on the appradio 2. I use it with one of those cheap obd elm 327 units. I've always had a fear of leaving it plugged in because of battery drainage, but from this thread, it appears that my fear is unjustified. Check out some screen shots here: http://appradioforums.com/Thread-Bluetooth-OBD2-works?highlight=torque
  17. It sounds like your X/Y touch events are inverted. There is a setting in ARL for just that. It should cure your woes.
  18. Is this what you're looking for? http://appradioforums.com/Thread-Multiple-phones-connected-with-arliberator?highlight=multiple+phones
  19. SWC stands for steering wheel controls. It allows you to use an aftermarket module to retain your volume, source select, etc.
  20. Does the DA-02 have the camera icon on the main screen like the DA-100 does? It sometimes gets touched accidentally and the icon changes from grey to blue, and will then come on randomly. This has happened to me in the past and has been the cause of several similar complaints.
  21. Nope. I'm actually running 8.14. I'm not going to fix it if it isn't broke.
  22. Absolutely. There's a video of this on another forum.
  23. I have an android and the appradio's mic is only used during a phone conversation. When I use Voice Command, only the phone's mic is used, which makes it difficult to understand me.
  24. Agreed, that's all it should take. After people have re powered their antenna amplifier, their fm reception is usually better than factory stock.
