    Sorry, it worked. I didn't fully read the first thread on Shortfuse page. I tried PASSWORDPASSWORD after reading and it worked. Version 7.0 - Do you guys have BTC or ZEC or DGB accounts- I'll donate. Thanks again for keeping our devices relevant. Only place to go from here would be getting Android on this lol

    I own a Z140bh Did the shortfuse and it worked fine. 4gb card Used 16gb card next to install- and asked for password- I tried AVIC411S and PASSWORD - both did not initiate update. So umm what is the password?

    Just made a thread about this and didn't know it alread existed. However, I wonder how long before we can just install a ROM onto SD card and force the boot from that SD card containing all music/files. So basically using Avic-140bh as a simple display unit. How long indeed.

    Hello, Anyone try or think about porting android to our systems ? It'll be a game changer -speed will be snappy, more things allowed , so on and so forth?

    Guys the problem is with our phone -not the other way around. I thought I was the only one but I'm not lol I was able to make it work by clearing the bluetooth cache on the phone and deleting paired connection and -re-connecting the whole thing but it came back. The issue starts with Android 5 lollipop version.

    Little update I have Avic -Z140bh and my audio with bluetooth doesn't work. Version 3.32 for bluetooth and shows that's the latest version. However my calls are crispy clear (thankfully) . I think the issue is with Android since it got updated to 5.0 lollipop and higher- they haven't addressed the issue even in 5.1.1 update.

    Hey man, is it possible for you to post -step by step -what you did with your install so as to avoid any errors because I am also running Z140-BH and dont want the system to screw up or lock out. I did download VEINFO.DAT file and 2015 MAPS CIF - what other files do I need ? also downloaded the main file from the first post. What else is needed ? but what exactly you did from step 1 until install started working perfectly?

    It's 2.3 GB but for some random reason Google drive messes it up. Mine downloaded 100% first and then it went up and beyond 104-105% lol - that's when I realized something was wrong. If it doesn't work make sure you try on a different computer. I downloaded it on my phone using phone's data plan rather than wifi.

    Just donated for all the work. I had to download using my phone- I have 6GB data plan so I thought might as well use that. Everywhere else I was getting "network error" Google drive has this prevalent problem. Z140bh was updated. Thanks I was hoping for some sort of UI changes to speed up the system and all but oh well.

    for the life of me - I cannot get it to download. I've tried download manager on chrome as well and it still doesn't work. After 40-50 mins of downloading it'll say "Network error" Any suggestions or could anyone upload this on a mirror site ? dropbox or something else ? Please and thanks

    How do you even do the update ? Buy the DVD from the website then pop it in and voila ?

    The update for Z140bh is out too but it's 120$ and it doesn't clearly state what exactly has been updated as in comparison from last year.

If the maps are acquired through torrents or something can they be still uploaded?

    Yeah, i saw listed for 2013 euro update but nothing for North America ? Lol it can't be that nothing has changed on roads that they thought no point releasing an upgrade. Anyone got any idea regarding 2013 maps upgrade for Avic Z140bh ?

    Thanks !! The only thing is that even though my videos are HD they still ain't smooth. There are slight boxes that appear sometimes.

    I have Z140bh is there a possibility that I already have 2012 maps ? but if I do then why is my device version is 4.0 not 4.1 and bluetooth version is same as the one in this post ?

    I have an AVIC-Z140bh and I tried the picture step by step and the method listed in first step and none of them works. I put the memory card in and it simply does not pick it up. When I check my bluetooth version it says I have the current version but my device version is 4.000 not 4.100

    thanks a lot man but never mind got it fixed but I still cannot apply the bypass though. Also, I have AVIC-Z140bh and it shows I have version 4.000. I've tried everything from this post http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35230-2012-uscan-maps-cnsd-310fmuc-upgrade-updated-to-supereasymethod-beta/ and this one nothing works. In hex editor I do not even see the numbers he provided in the first post.. I feel like I have no other option left apart from physically getting it bypassed

    Someone come kill me now. I bricked my unit. I did however make a backup of all the files but I just simply cannot paste them for some reason. Whenever I go in USer menu every item is disable other than "select, copy, delete, help" I thought deleting all the files in user folder would enable the paste option but it rather killed my unit. How do I paste the files back please help me someone otherwise this would be a very expensive piece of brick that too in my car.

    I am interested in carrying out this mod as well but the thing is that I've tried scouring youtube and google and I cannot even find the basic files required to put on my sd card. Can anyone please be kind enough to provide links to download the files that are required to go on the sd card ? For example navi.exe would be from the Z140bh but I need Testmode file that I can put on the sd card in the first place to get into the test mode. I know this thread has not been checked for long time but anyone ?? I do not want to go and get the hard hack done. Thanks in advance
