  1. I would never endorse a burned set... but I bet if you search for the word torrent or use something like utorrent you may be able to find an evaluation set to try out and see if you want to purchase the set from pioneer.
  2. Yes... that is what most of the discussions are about when they are talking about the CNDV-90MT which are the 2009 discs. They are for sale at pioneerelectronics.com
  3. I just upgraded to the CNDV-90MT from the 80MT on my Avic-D3 and is has appeared to correct all the previous issues (clicking and read errors), not to mention that Pioneer actually put the XM / Sirrius icons on this disc. My D3 is like new again with no read errors and also seems to be starting up a lot quicker. Maybe if you call and complain to Pioneer they will exchange the 80MT for a 90MT if it was recently purchased... If you bummed it for free... try the 90MT... just a thought. I still think the AVIC-D3 with all the options is a better unit than any of the new Pioneer m
  4. To answer my own question in case anyone was wondering besides me... The icons are embedded in the new disc... not like the 80MT... Pioneer listened for once... now if they would just build upgrades into the updates. I still can not believe they can not link the Map's database with the bluetooth phone and vice versa with the contacts. Th update also seemed a lot cleaner than the last one. It ran faster and my radio seems to startup a lot quicker. I still think the AVIC-D3 with all the add ons is better than the newer Pioneer radio options. Happy listening and navigating to a
  5. Do you have to altar the 90MT like the 80 to get the XM/Sirrius icons?
  6. Use uTorrent. Has anyone installed the new 2009 update discs and noticed if the XM/Sirrius icons are there or do we need to altar it like the 80MT?
  7. I would not sell! It is still better than the new units for the price... even with all the modules needed to provide the bluetooth, XM, etc.
  8. It does not show up on any search.

    wav files

putting additional files with new names also does not work.
  10. What do you need a picture of? When the car starts it plays for about a minute, the interface is still there, just no sound. Sirrius, terrestrial radio and iPod work.
  11. I have narrowed it down to either it being too cold at the startup or the upgrade DVD. Those are the only things that have been changed. I too ripped the radio back out and tightened all wires, etc. I checked and there is no 2AMP draw from mine. I really am confused by the problem as I have had the radio for two years and it is just starting with this nonsense now.
  12. The previous disucssion was:: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11238&highlight=sirius They really did not put too much time or attention into either interface as both lack a lot of functionality on a rather expensive head unit. I am a little disappointed, but not enough to move to the F-series which seems to be more disappointing with the features as well. When all is said and done, it all works and is nice, but we always want more.
  13. It may have been a loose ground or power wire. It might just be laying right now.
  14. This was discussed a long time ago. No hacks. Pioneer owns the XM unit... Sirius owns the Sirius unit... so Pioneer could not do too much without rights and access.
  15. Since the bluetooth unit stays connected the entire time and is a "first generation" it does not support both functions from one device. If you disconnect one setting, the other works, it is just manual and then takes the phone feature away if you are listening to music from the device. I stuck with my ipod for my music. Ideally if we could have both work at the same time, then voice dial would confirm through the speakers of the radio.
  16. Mine shuts off randomly when I start my vehicle. The only fix I have found was to pop in to neutral, turn off, and re-start the car. I will look at the power cord since you mentioned it.
  17. I noticed something similar in the COLD weather... but works itself out once it gets heated up.
  18. Download the JetWare Mobile software to your phone. http://www.jetwaremobile.com Run the program once. Remove the program from your phone. Then try to connect normally. It appears to rewrite a registry file in the phone and allows it to connect downward to the BT that is on the AVIC.
  19. I tried to add additional ones and they did not show up. I did not actually try to modify them and keep the same file names. That may work.
  20. It should technically work in either disc, but I would try the 2008. I would also use MagicISO as that has worked for me. Good luck.

    Move from a D3

Awesome tip... Thanks! I am still uncertain. I may wait until Pioneer comes out with something to compete with that new car pc that is out. I want Pioneer to come out with a product that is a shell so it can update and change with the times. I know that will never happen.
  22. I am sure you probably tried this, but make sure in Nero that the finalize CD (even though it is a DVD) is checked. *** Also before you burn, do a media check through the NERO software and make sure it recognizes that the DVD is a DL, otherwise it may not be communicating with your DVD recorder properly. I did a burn and it worked (after I realized to add the content to the folders rather than replace.) When making the ISO, make sure to do a save as instead of save. I have found that saving over a current ISO does not work great when burning this disc. The only issue I have is th
  23. If this does not work... search in the forum for a manual reset option. When the unit is powered on, hold in the CD/DVD eject button for about 30 seconds. This may do the trick of resetting the drive. I would suggest powering down the unit and then back up again after you do this with no disc in the radio.
