word game thread needs attention too. probably what slowed the site down there for a bit

the msg isnt a problem. period. try reloading your background and stop doing the resets. this sounds fine
-
i could be wrong but that sounds normal.. the msg anyways. If i remember right you have to have the background on your disk when booting.

no need to pull seat, some 10 or 12 mm bolts and a metal shield to remove but straight forward none the less.
-
well, depends, but if they trace a problem back to your connection they can do that wherever you make it. Theyll even be able to tell somethings not right cuz of the gauges you put in/if you put in. and even if you take them out. fyi, you cant be denied warranty on any part of your car UNLESS the cause of the problem IS YOU, so just tapping in isnt a loss of warranty, it has to be what caused the problem.

screw that, pull computer out, much better install.

according to the manual i have for the 05 sti, the vss is located in the b135 plug and in terminal 27. the plug looks like this ***** ** ************ ** ** **** ** ** **** the *'s are the actual pin terminals, the lineup maybe wrong but the number of terminals is right, so look for a plug that is 7 wires on top followed by 12 in the second row and 8 in third and 4th rows, similar to the lame attemp at a picture i did above. but again thats for the sti, which i think is different. especially on turbo vehicles
-
sti, and wagon is going to be different, make sure your getting the wiring for that vehicle! the reason your gauges work in the avic is cuz its getting it from the gps, also why your vehicle is half a block a way when you turn it on. nasioc.com has an excellent resource for locating wiring for the subaru vehicles. check it out

yes thats how you do it

get a professional to look at it, also mute isnt on?
-
how about music and such? if it does play music then you probably just turned off the beep
-
put it back the way it was, maybe remote got disconnected?

NO windex on plastic's, the ammonia in it will make the finish hazy. you 'shouldn' need rain x on the camera though, it should be shielded enough and if not should be able enough for you to just wipe off the water. If water got INTO it and not just on it then you got a totally different problem and might want to get a sealed camera. If you do decide to use rain x on it, its probably more of an anal thing... like being clean that I would probably do as well as part of maintaining / cleaning my car.

parking lights wont turn on after bypass
tillithz replied to ekidd's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
well, remove the bypass and see if lights still dont work. likely ... hopefully you have a fuse blown somewhere you may not have seen. OR depending on how you checked the fuses, you should recheck them with a tool as opposed to just your eyes. also, check your dimmer knob/switch to make sure its not just turned down -
PaisanNYC I agree with you about the scams going on, I think the effort that JasonH can/does do is good. Id like not to see you go brother! its good to have someone like you here!!! as far as apax is concerned, I have seen the autofest posts and didnt have a problem with it myself, since it didnt really contain whats widely considered as spam or virus's. So, my opinion was that it was ok, but dont get me wrong, if for some reason someone sees something more then my casual glance indicated to me, by all means see that its handled. In closing, I like the steps your taking J

what speech is that? never heard that before

update is free, upgrade isnt? difference?
-
update and upgrade are two different terms with two different meanings. whether or not you mixed up the two, or the rep on the phone mixed em up, common sense would tell you that for map database info YOU HAVE TO PAY. every other company requires those disks to be paid for. Surely you arent so demanding to expect pioneer let alone the company whom prepares the map info to know that someone finally built a house on the lot in which you live. As time goes by (5 years is a long time though) things will be inputted, submitted for input, and altered. So 5 years while it should be in the database by

I called pioneer asked them about the harddrive problem...
tillithz replied to bigkevin20's topic in Hacks/Mods
you call the manufacture and ask questions you ALREADY know the answers to, real productive. -
and when you get a headache DO NOT POST here about your bullshit experience. Its cuz of your own doing you get any headache. COD what a joke, even if he sends it to you he could send a brick and you HAVE to pay for the brick.
