With all the interference i am getting from the thing thats what most ppl are saying is my problem. Has anyone installed this piece them selfs? and is there any write ups about it? I searched but didnt see much. Also when i plug my ipod into the aux plugs in the back and the front port i cant seem to get any signal too the radio. like in the a/v options none of the box come avaiable to use this item why? I did know get the right ipod cable for it..but still would like to know. thanks, steve
cntrylvr79
The av inputs have to be turned on before they become availible.
32valvefox
try a ground loop isolator. they are about 15$. i am assuming that you are having an issue with a 4ch amp since you are talking about pre-outs?
steve05Ser
yes its a 4channel amp, could you explain more about what that is?
32valvefox
the ground loop isolator would take excess signal noise out of the rca's. another possible fix... did you run the rca's on the opposite side of the vehicle from the power wire? if not try that. steve05Ser
no the wires are not by each other...but if theres something wrong on the board, those loops would they fix it like 100%?
32valvefox
im not gonna say that the ground loop isolator will fix it 100% but its worth a shot. another thing to try.. depending on what rca's you have.. there might be a small wire in between the rca's, you can ground one end to your amp and then the other to chassi behind deck. or another.. is your power wire running anywhere near your alternator? if so... i'd get it as far away from the alternators "radiated noise" as possible by moving the power wire
Alx717
i think i'm having a similar problem.. i bought a headphone to rca cable for my zune so i could plug it into the inputs at the back of the unit but when i try to use it i get perfect sound quality but stripes of what should be displayed moving quickly up the screen. does this sound like something the ground loop isolaters would fix and if so where do i get them/how do i use them? superjet
Ground loop isolators are a poor solution, and will kill your midrange. Fix the radio instead. There are no write ups that I know, but just use a meter on ohms, and follow the path on the circuit board until you find the break.
whtcrxghst
Have you tried grounding your RCAs?
Alx717
nevermind.. i fixed my problem
jeffrey.pimentel
hey what did u do to fix it
steve05Ser
yeah im still trying to fight to get pioneer to fix mine, if not i will be sodering on the internal fuse.
bdeitemeyer
The ground loop isolators fixed my problem, but I'm hoping to go back & actually find the ground loop itself to eliminate it instead of just cover it up.
bdeitemeyer
Nevermind the problem came back, next I'll try grounding the RCAs to the head unit, and if that doesn't work send the head unit back to Pioneer.
