HeyRobi
Any word on any updated Nav DVD's for the D3?
whtcrxghst
No. They will be on their website when they come out
Guest astrobill
Pioneer refuses to even state *IF* they even plan on any updated map and POI DVDs for the D3, much less *WHEN* to expect them. My guess is the D3 is now unsupported, given how bug-ridden and prototype-looking the menus and error-plagued the Bluetooth is. Â My prediction: We will NEVER see any map update or software upgrade for the D3. Ever. Â We all bought lemons with the AVIC-D3. I've moved on the Kenwood...good stuff! Check out the latest models in Crutchfield's catalog.
shoman94
Yea, it's pretty annoying.... since they updated the D1 quicker and seemed more supportive..... Thats the reason why I bought my D3. Not sure if I will buy another Pioneer..... I still like them for the money and it works well for me. Even though Nav takes longer routes at times but it always gets me there when I have no idea how to get there...... well I shouldn't say always.... as it does have some address errors and addresses missing. Â They need to get an update out now... I mean were almost half way through 2008!
djhuab
the update for all models will be summer 2008. they did not state the month but im thinking june.
whtcrxghst
They always come out in summer time, have every year for the last 8 years. To assume the D3 is "unsupported" because the disks aren't here earlier than ever before is retarded
Ralphmac
The Pioneer website says the new disks will be out in July. I cannot wait to see the upgrades.
kryngle
I went to the website and saw nothin.. I got an email from Pioneer a few weeks ago statin the new disk will be out at the end of august to september. In between that time frame. But when I went to the website I havent seen any indication of the release date.
Ralphmac
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... CNDV-70MTP Â Look at the bottom right of the webpage. It says update disk available in July.
kryngle
My bad, I didn't see it. Good eye tho. Hopefully they dont let us down and actually fix these bugs and add better features.
dmhines
Cool ... added my email to the notify list ... is there any fact to the rumor that if you register you unit with Pioneer online they send you the first disc update for free?
kryngle
I have heard the same rumor myself. I have heard that some people have gotten a free upgrade when they have registered their units. Not sure how factual it is tho.
Ralphmac
I emailed Pioneer asking them if we get the first update for free. I will post response if and when I get it. We will see? I hope that rumor is true.
kruff10
yea i registered my d 3 back in sept 07, so a free update would be nice, i wonder if there will be any improvments in the user interfaces of some of the sources on the d3?????
dmhines
I'd be happy if all they did was add RDS for the radio stations. I wonder if additional hardware would be need to do that ... or if it just firmware they could write ...
