Keve116
Ok so i finally burned the disc using DVD decrypter and i too ended up with bad sector errors during the verify process. Â Â I tried image burn and received an error while writing.. i give up. It said "invalid address for write" - does anyone know what this may mean?
itsjdmyo
i downloaded the WEST.iso file and used powerISO to bur the image file onto a sony dvd-DL disc. popped it into my N2, and it updated and worked perfectly! didn't notice much different other then darker buttons on the screen and a few different poi overlay icons. is there a list somewhere that shows the difference once it is updated? thanks to the OP for making this files available to download! MTB02
Hey thanks for the upload... I downloaded and burned but I have a question. I put the east disc in first and it ran through updated with the process bar to 100% but when I put the West disc in it did not update like the other is this correct? They both work so Im assuming its alright.... Lastly are my original discs that came with the D3 no good now because it doesn't read them? Im thinking bout selling them on ebay or something if that's the case. THANKS AGAIN SAVED ME 120 BUCKS!!!
fallsilent
Well I just updated flawlessly with the east file I downloaded via FTP. I'm using a mac so I extracted the iso from the zip file using "Stuffit Expander" to my desktop, then burned it to a FUJIFILM DVD+R DL disc using "Disk Utility". Waited for the disc to verify and eject then took it to my truck, inserted it, watched it update and PRESTO! works like a charm! Haven't really played around with it to see the changes yet but the UI seems a little faster.
Tri3Dent
I put the east disc in first and it ran through updated with the process bar to 100% but when I put the West disc in it did not update like the other is this correct? Â That's correct. The first disc (west or east, whichever) you put in updates the system. The second disc you put in, it will reboot (to update the maps). After that, you're done. firedawgs
I really appreciate what you have done for this community. That is really solid. Â I am currently @ 45% downloading. Â Does anyone know of a free DVD burning program or can put up on the server?
Tri3Dent
Use Imgburn.. that's what I used. Free too  http://www.imgburn.com/
ahmada
May I ask what these disks are for? I know they are maps but do I really need them?
jlong1987
I know they are maps but do I really need them? If you need them is up to you. It offers some updates to the map data (POIs and some new roads) and makes your load and search time slightly faster.

endleesss
I had problems with my D3 after the update too. LOTS of problems. But i figured it was the brand of dvd that I used. Â So I bought MEMOREX DVD+R DL 8X. Burned it with NERO Buring Rom 7 at 2x speed. That fixed all my problems. =) Thanks for the isos.
GnatGoSplat
Yeah, normally anything MEMOREX is considered low-grade, but every DVD-based AVIC I've come across has no problems at all with MEMOREX DL discs. They always work perfectly.
