CXL99
Thomas, start making mine! A couple of questions . . . Is manipulating the knob fully functional with this on it? How tight is the new knob? Will it fall off when moving the knob up/down/left/right? Does it affect the illumination of the knob at all? Thanks for offering to make these. It'll be a great addition. The knob is only about fifty thousanths bigger than stock. It is a very tight press fit so that it aint coming off. I didn't even glue mine and I have abusively moved it around for all functions and its works perfect. Actually when you put it on, it looks like Pioneer did it. You can't tell it's aftermarket anything... And it WORKS WAY BETTER. Thanks for the interest. Let me know if you have any more questions.

thomashohl
Holy cow!! I guess everyone else is as unhappy with the pinche little knob that Pioneer used as I was. Thanks for the interest guys, glad I could help. You will love the way it looks and works.
thomashohl
Does anyone know if the knob on the 900 and 700 are the same as the 90? If it is I guess I could post there as well and make their life a little better. Anyone????
terron
can anyone confirm that the aftermarket knob still can be pushed up/down/left/right/center?
thomashohl
There seems to be some questions surrounding the functionality of the new knob. The new knob works exactly like the old one in every way except that it is deeper and you can actually grip it. It does not fall off or block the lighting. When you install it you can't tell that Pioneer didn't put it there. It looks VERY factory. Matter of fact after a month or so you will forget that there was ever a smaller knob on there. It has a much better feel as well due to the weight. This is not some hokey knob. I am a professional machinist. when I make something, it works BETTER than the original or I don't waste my time. Not trying to sell here just be assured this knob works great.

I'm sure your product is top notch, but I want to hear it from someone else
