My Completed Tweaks F700BT

Recommended Posts

I finally finished up my tweaks for now, thanks to Maverickster, BorisM, Keeper22, Lilngeer also N-S-E-W for pointing me to some GPS strings... I also used a little from each one with my twist to them. I have added about 13 schemes for fall, winter, spring and summer and some cool night ones as well from my IGO8 collecton. I have modifed my unit for the latest maps, poi, buildings and dem file. I also have the speedcam setup going as well. I have the backup camera, Sirius Sat and also wired for IPOD and external DVD unit. Here are a few shots of the unit.

New release 5/20/09 see below for information -

Ok lets give this a shot. Links are provided below, PLEASE backup what your going to copy before you do anything so you can go back to what you had.

Note: I have this setup using the modified ezrider.exe and the new license file, I have not tested this with the default ezrider.exe or license file and have no clue if it work . I would recommend using the modified ezrider.exe and license file.

Data.zip has the modifications you see in the pictures above. The compass is the cancel route button

The sys.zip has new fonts and new sys.txt file. (both data.zip and files in sys.zip go into main igo folder)

The scheme files have new schemes that I have been using, unrar or unzip what you want into a temp folder and copy to your apl/igo/content/schemes folder/. Pioneer only allows you to have 18 schemes total at one time on the unit. So pick you may have to play around to find the ones you like the most. I'm working on getting sun and moon and clouds to show up as well.

You can also find these mods on my website - http://gpssoftware.us

What version maps did you update to, 2008.01 or 2008.04? I was just curious if your TTS still works. For some updated POI's you can try POIfriend.com, they recently updated to support AVIC compatibility. I am also interested in your theme.

I do not use TTS so I can't answer this.. sorry. I am using the 2008.1 maps

I have the POI files and did have one installed that worked pretty good, just trying to do a bit better. I have a few from that place and a few other places I need to try out.

Ok links are in first post, please backup first before copying anything over. I'm sure other schemes will work fine if they are for IGO8 as well. The pioneer unit does not like any spaces or - in the names of the schemes so if you add other's to test from what I posted make sure you its either one long name or use _ in the name in place of spaces. If you have questions let me know. I hope I didn't leave anything out.

That's strange... I've used a number of schemes with both spaces and dashes in both file and scheme names, and had absolutely no problem...

Could have been me, but I noticed on the ones I had they had - and spaces and the unit would hang. As soon as I got rid of the dash and replaced with _ for that and spaces they worked. Maybe I'll check again later on, it was late and I was on my pain meds.. :)
