Just not sure if I can do it w/o putting the phone in recovery or DFU mode but I guess it will be trial and error. epsilonkore Posted September 12, 2013 Author Report Share Posted September 12, 2013 Here is another update, I just loaded the GoldMaster (production version that will be released to the public) of iOS 7 on my phone last night and now Best Parking gives me a blank screen. I DIDNT load from my iCloud backup, it was just a fresh install on iOS7 Best Parking and a couple other apps I have been doing compatibility checking for work. I may be able to get it to work by restoring my iphone from iCloud along with my old app settings files. Either way, there is definitely an issue with the app that can pop up for whatever reason. My x950 and z150 both were showing the app with iOS 6.1.4 and now a fresh iOS7 with the app gives a blank screen. Same phone, same AVIC's just different loads of the software. I am currently re loading my iPhone 5 with iOS7 and a cloud restore... I will tell you if it works after that. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I may wait to update the OS in my phone to 6.1.2 since I'm going to be on a long road trip soon and don't want to risk breaking anything. I'll just leave all things status quo for now and then up the OS when i return. I really wish I could bring it up to 6.1.4 but there's no official tested JB yet although I've read that is has been exploited but not released. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

It is interesting though, mine worked fine on 6.1.4 which isnt THAT different from your 6.1.2, and I am pretty sure my 6.1.2 worked just fine with Best Parking. I am going to try a few other options tomorrow when I have time. Now that my dev work for my job is done (at least for this week) I can take a look at some of the mechanics behind this app and DashCommander. I will say this, since doing the iOS7 upgrade my TopHeadlines app seems to be less crash prone versus before in iOS6. It would crash on first launch EVERYTIME, but the second launch would work fine. I'm going to go to 6.1.2 since it's the last posted jail break available for now. Do you recall having 6.1.2 at anytime when using these apps? If so, I'm assuming they worked for you. No. I dont remember it NOT working and then it suddenly working with 6.1.3 or 6.1.4. 6.1.2 thru .4 happened quite quickly, all were issued because of battery power issues dealing with Exchange protocol and in a subversive way they also added some anti jailbreaking techniques in .3 and .4 . The span of time between the three versions was pretty short as we were reacting to testing our apps and the rapid succession was a bit stressful on my team. The only apps that broke between those versions were ones that relied on open hooks that were closed to prevent the jailbreaking. I dont see why Best Parking would be using any of those hooks so I believe it worked on .2 .3 as well as .4 . Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Dont know if an iHA update snuck in that I didnt realize (iOS7 auto updates apps now...), but I can FINALLY control iHeart from the x50 screen.
