My parent company in their infinite wisdom decided they did not want our location anymore and due to budget reasons they decided to close our facility. So I'm out of a job. I started with an OEM medical manufacturing device company, we were bought by another company and a few years ago we were bought out again my St Jude Medical (CRMD Division). But St Jude decided they didn't want us anymore so they are closing my site down. It's pretty sad, I've been working for the same facility since 1991 and made it through both buy outs. That was basically my first job out of college. Guess it's time to go out and hunt down some new employment. Maybe the Z3 will need a circuit! Quote Link to post Share on other sites

But the hardest, is to find one that you like, and wll continue to like. My retirement that I had set up just fell through...Time to build a portfolio from scratch. GOOGLE MRAP and you should find a lot of companies in Charleston struggling to find people qualified to integrate (install) the Communications Suite in the MRAPS any job doing military integration (building racks of comm gear) should draw upon your expertise to build, cut, bend, fab, and install. the only big qualification you would need is a Military Connector school. and most companies teach that to you. www.scires.com Quote Link to post Share on other sites

xsdbs Posted December 22, 2007 Report Share Posted December 22, 2007 after only 7 yrs at the place I 've been at I was told yesterday that I was being laid off and could maybe able to come back if business picks up. seems some companies want to pay more people lower wages than those that have experiance. I was talking to a shop owner just today and after looking at my app he toldme that I was over qualified. now that really sucks, I mean you do the best you can, stay open minded to suggestions, are good with customers and do quality work with hardly any complaints and now you are over qualified and told " heck I can get 2 people for what you want to get paid". what a bunch of *********IT, sorry for ragging and yes I will have some cheese with that whine.
