  1. It sounds like you don't have constant power going to it. The AVIC's have one wire for constant power and one for ignition/acc power.
  2. If you want to do canbus, I would use this http://pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=280&CategoryID=26
  3. Neither one of the dimmer wires supply 12v when the lights are on? If not, any circuit that gets power when the lights are on will work. Every modern car has a speed pulse, it's just that some are easier to get to than others, sometimes you have to go all the way to the ECU. The Mustang speed pulse is at the ECU for example. Speed pulse isn't needed if you always have good gps signal, don't drive in tunnels, etc.
  4. Condi's Hackmode topic has been fixed!

  5. I would hold off until the software update. You'll get Navteq maps and same features as the Z140.
  6. Yes, you'll need the AV Harness.
  7. The Z1 has its own sub out. Rear Monitor out is for video.
  8. It's in the forums, not the blog. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/32929-x930bt-password-recovery/
  9. If you don't have a motorized/powered antenna or amp then you don't need to connect them. The orange dimmer wire is most likely the illumination wire on the D3 side.
  10. 1. No, not possible, other than holding seek. 2. Not sure.
  11. Those tuners don't work with the AVIC. You'll need a Pioneer IPBus Tuner.
  12. Android support doesn't come until the Z140 update.
  13. Sometimes the tuners get a little confused, try disconnecting the power to it for a little bit. If that doesn't work, checking the antenna would be the next step.
  14. What cable are you using to connect the iPod to the AVIC?
  15. 1. You don't have to delete it, it will look for phones in the order of most recently paired. 2. Not sure, don't use the HD. 3. Attenuation is an option in the settings. 4. You're correct, the only split mode is for rear view.
  16. It's not a "fault" of the avic, it depends on the CD. It will get info from MP3/Data CD's. If it's a plain audio CD, it's only going to work if CD Text is written to the disc. Also, make sure AV1 is set to iPod.
  17. Nope, not normal. During a call the screen should remain on the current mode with a call box with hang up, volume, and close. The screen should not be going blank.
  18. From what I've been told, there will be an update available for the Z110+ and the X910+.
