  1. Try doing donuts in the other direction of the gps spinning. j/k check your speed wire to see if it is connected properly and not to the reverse cable.
  2. I remember reading one person was able to combined the 2 antenna together using a "Y" gps adapter. Basically two signal antenna from the p-10xmt and the navigation unit to read from the adapter which access from one antenna. Notice the xm antenna and the gps antenna uses 2 different port size. You will need 2 extended gps wire to the adapter and one gps antenna. I still yet to confirm this by finding where I have read this thread. He had pictures of the combine unit and install.
  3. True, but that is IF they know what the bypass is or has done on the car. And they have no proof whether the person was watching a movie and not just using the Navi. or listening to music.
  4. bro, try checking you polarity in "Camera" setting. Make sure your setting is either Battery, if it is, switch to the other one, GND
  5. I got mine connected to the camera input, power to acc and ground, and I can see the camera when switch to reverse. My question is how do you access "Rear View". I seen it at the demo at the store and a little bit on the manuel, but I don't know how to access that. Please, thank you.
  6. same here, it work for me and i have a mac. tried and work the first time...also, make sure you have jpg or jpeg files that has been flatten down and not still in layers like photoshop.
  7. yes. make sure your cd in toast, data file, "PICTURES" folder as the root, and all names in capital and no spaces, 20 top files, cdr must be at least 1.5mb for the unit to recognize.
  8. the 05 is similar in installation. not too far off. here is a website with pix on how to do it. REmoval of old factory. after that, do the bypass as posted here in the forum on avic411.com http://www.castulucci.com/projects/carpc/oemnaviaccess/ good luck
  9. You guys ever think of getting an mac mini? the one with duo core. I'm thinking of doing this with a foldable keyboard bluetooth and trackpad or so...you can watch movies on it, with the map in the d3, and *gasp* special effects and visual update with itunes visual on your d3 screen when playing mp3. haha...well, that is just my path.
  10. sorry correction needs to be made...Alternator doesn't really fire the sparkplug, but helps crank the engine...the ecu fires the sparkplug. alternator helps crank the engine and getting it going, turning the pistons and rods through the crank pulleys and timing belts.
  11. You could do that, but that still didn't answer his question. I believe he wants to start up the car without having the unit go through the startup cycle again. Joker>You can only have one or the other. Either have the unit stay on forever cuz there is no way you can turn off the unit when leaving the car "IF" you connect the two wires, ACC and Power wire together to the 12+V constant wire of the car, bypassing the ACC. The reason why there is a hicup when starting up the car is because at the back of the key switch on your steering wheel are series of connections that makes contact to
  12. oops, i meant your phone is not sending signal to be discoverable.
  13. You said you have already made connection. From what I'm understanding you can't seem to get it to autoconnect. Were you able to register the phone yet? I mean, on your D3 AV Menu, BT phone, tap Function, Phone Register, and make sure the first slot there is your phone and not anyone else. If not, delete it, and make connection to your current phone, if not yet connected. And hold that 1st slot until your phone displays in that slot. If not, try resetting in one more time on your Blutooth first, then if not, your D3 and Blutooth. And try again. Otherwise, your phone is not searching. Try r
  14. your unit just stay on...ALL THE TIME!!! Even if you leave the car overnight...the unit would still be on. But if you want to do a switch thingy while connected to your method, then fine...but beats the purpose of connecting the red wire to the ACC, which is just exactly a switch for any electronic in the car.
  15. I use to own a 96 gsr (moved on to better cars) anywho, yes, the d3 would compliment the indash of that car, heck, any car. Don't worry. It'll look nice. You do need the 2din kit for that car though. If it has gap, there are method to block the gap, but should flush in smoothly. Anyway, enjoy your d3.
  16. I didn't have to use the Jetware...at first i did but i just want to know if it would still work if uninstall it. It worked still. I have to pair it without the wireless headset unless you want to listen to music, etc off your phone. Anyway, clear your blutooth connection on your phone with pioneer. Reestablish your connection. On the setting, once connection has been established, uncheck wireless headset, and make sure Handsfree is turned on or checked. Once that is done, you should be able to connect and register.
  17. I made a post remark on volume cutting out on other post...anyway...try checking your polarity on the speaker...different polarity and load can blow the speaker out at certain load volume...different ohm reading speaker, positive negative at different speaker going into same amp...try this...use a 9volt battery and find out if it is the correct phase for each speaker. Phase in or phase out.
  18. For the blutooth, make sure you only using one or the other...handsfree setting or the wireless headset. When you first make the link to your bluetooth connection, you have the option to choose whether you will be connecting through the headset or "handsfree phone." seems like you made connection through your Wireless Headset to play music. Try unchecking it and check the other option for handsfree phone when making link to the BT unit.
  19. >3) Theres a whining noise all the time, sounds like my alternator -- i've read that it could be a bad ground but i know that it's grounded really well, i made sure of this. If you have connected your amp or something...if so, make sure you seperate your wires power, remote supply "FAR" away from your rca and speaker wires...cuz these wires will interfere when you have a high voltage nearby. Creates a whining noise everytime you step on the gas or slowing down...if not, something is wrong with your ca.
  20. sorry buddy...i can't find a descent avatar to represent myself using a d3 but a d3 image. the gallery doesn't have it...hope you don't mind...if you do i'll repalce it and put up my Emperor logo...Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Emperor...one of the best club sport for Lancer Evolution.
  21. did you still have the old phone registered in the 1st slot? Cuz the D3 seem to autoconnect only to the 1st slot. Also, check to see if auto connect is set to on.
  22. ribbon cable gone bad. Mine did, until i got tired of fixing it with a pen or pencil, trying to make sure it fits snuggly. Heat and AC can effect it if monitor is directly in front of the vent. I went and got myself a D3...no monitor movement and fits nicely with my double din conversion...yes, my car is a single din...had to custom fabricate it and put in. relocated the climate control down. Sweet setup...but anyway, the ribbon, check that out.
  23. please check your speakers connection. running high loads on different polarity can cut the amp out. Check for consistent positive and negatives running to the amp from the speaker. I usually find out that phase in or phase out of each speaker with a 9volt battery. from the amp side, the speaker wires hold it together on the 9volt battery. if the speakers move away from the magnet, then polarity is correct. connect as is to the amp, otherwise your connection negative to positive is reversed. Other thing is run consistent ohm reading whether it is 4ohm or 2 ohm all around speakers. If you
  24. I have my tmobile mda for about a year. it's updated firmware to the latest with tmobile. I did some research and tried to figure out how to establish a connection with pioneer's btb200 but failed. The unit would simply wouldn't recognize. after trying several things as suggested but failed. I've found a solution after a couple tries with the settings. Erase any connection in your phone regarding connecting to your btb200. Set your btb200 to search for phone, make sure your phone is discoverable. Your phone should be able to locate your btb200 (pioneer unit2). Connect and enter passwo
  25. Something is getting grounded. Your speed sensor wire may be tapped into the ecu incorrectly or something in the back of the unit where the radio is getting grounded.
