  1. Looking up that part, it looks as though it is for vehicles with Bose. I still reccomend the GMOS-01 non Bose interface. Newer models of that unit also include VSS, Reverse and parking brake wires right on the harness. No seperate chime module needed either. Just to be clear, this would be for non-amplified vehicles. http://documents.victorytechnologies.com//documents/product/GMOS-01.pdf
  2. You agree not to resell the unit for at least a year when these promotions come up. Doing so only hurts the whole program and the purpose behind it. When things get abused they go away or do not happen again.
  3. I think your a little confused on what sub frequencies are. A full range speaker is just that, full range of frequencies. Depending on the speaker, it is usually 45-22khz. It has nothing to do with "pushing high levels of bass through them". Of course you will damage a speaker by doing that, loud on with bass all the way up. You can also damage a speaker in full range the same exact way. By setting the rears to "Sub", all your doing is cutting off the frequencies above 80, 100, or 120 hz. It is not adding those lower frequencies, the speaker was already playing them in full range.
  4. Theftlock will prevent you from putting in a different factory deck than what the car originally came with.
  5. That makes no sense. How can you shorten the lifespan of a speaker by taking out frequencies?
  6. 71-6502 is the reverse harness, not needed.
  7. Year, make and model of the car would help.
  8. You need to find out for sure if it has an amp. Trailblazer XL is on the left rear side, normal trailblazer it's on the right rear, behind the panels. You could write down the vin nmber and call the dealer, they should be able to tell you if you can convince them to look. The factory amp is digital turn-on, so definetly need a module/harness. Metra gmos-01 for non amplified, gmos-04 for amplified. Steering wheel controls would be Peripheal peswips.
  9. I run my rears as subs, fronts on high pass, sounds great. Left and right stagging is much better, instead of have vocals comming from front and rear. The front doors produce great mid range and highs, horrible enclosure for bass. Rears with a trunk has great bass, because the trunk is the enclosure. Why have mids and highs in the rear when it's right there at the doors? Having all the speakers running full range is like listening to music on your home stereo in surround sound. Sorry, but there are no audiophile guys listeng to music in full surround. Pioneer even had a feature on all the d

  11. There was a recall on the GMOS-04, the top of the case would press on the citcuit board and hit a resistor. There is a date code by the UPC, 06/07 and after are the newer versions. Just give Metra a call, I'm sure they would be more than happy to send you a replacement.

  13. Wouldn't it just be easier/cheaper to dial the 1-800 number?
  14. I cannot seem to pair my Razr2 Sprint phone with my bluetooth for music. Handsfree calling works fine. Anyone else been successfull? The Razr2 does have stero bluetooth.

    2-ohm stable?

By the way, the VSS wire is white/green in a seperate plug, along with steering wheel control wires. Need a PESWIPS in order to run the steering wheel controls. [/img]

    2-ohm stable?

2 ohm is fine as long as your listening at a volume where the speakers are not distorting. In other words, don't have the loud on full, bass all the way up and listening to heavy bass music. The same would apply to any ohm load. Personally, I would just integrate and let the external amp deal with it. What year, make and model is the car?
  19. Most GM's are 2 wire set ups, one wire for Satelite, the other for the repeaters. If it is a 2 wire antenna, it will work just fine except for the repeaters (tunnels, downtown areas).
  20. Blue/white is amp turn on, not solid blue. What kind of vehicle is it and do you have an amp running your speakers?
  21. Apple actually makes money on every cable made for the iPod. The connector/cable has a patent. Anyone that makes a cable must pay Apple a "spiff" for everyone produced. I don't recall the exact dollar amounts, but it something like $3 if it just charges, and $5 if it charges and plays audio.
  22. Here's an idea, buy something other than apple! Quit letting them own the market, otherwise they will continue to do whatever they want.
