Hi I just got a replacement from pioneer after waiting almost an year, long story short they sent me an Nex-6100 and I would like to update maps on it. I have the following questions please. Does the usb stick has to be empty? Would my nex automatically recon usb? What do I need to do after usb is prepared? What information I need to put in navtrax to get the latest maps? Thanks in advance!!

I have switched over to Alpine ILX-007, I believe it has wifi chip on board so I was really hoping to get wifi carplay.

Doesn't seems like we will get Wifi Carplay even in IOS 9

My unit has been sitting in a shop since April because Pioneer is not able to ship the part it requires for the repair I have already bought a used Alpine ILX-007 as a spare, didn't get around to install it. I installed the stock Radio, Pioneer said they can't ship the part until mid Sep.

I dropped off my Nex6000 at the repair shop, they informed that the SYSTEM CONTROL went south on it. Does anyone know what a system control is? they said are trying to find out how much the part is and how long it will take to get here. They also informed me that Pioneer Canada is done so they have to deal with Pioneer US.

No point of having this radio if you don't use carplay!!

I have the same problem with my NEX-6000, I bought mine off Ebay so I'm SOL on warranty. Do you guys suggest anything? I'm pretty sure its not the Antena! Because of this problem Carplay does not work either.

Darwood, I'm in the same boat, mine worked for couple of days and than the same nightmare!! My navigation is broken, when the navi worked so did the carplay.

Exactly same thing is happening with my Nex-6000. Carplay worked for couple of days and than quit again, so frustrating.

Spoke too soon, carplay quit again and so did the navigation. I might have a faulty antena or a faulty unit altogehter, yikes its so frustrating.

Update!! Suddenly carplay starting to work, apparently it has something to do with the Navigation. I have noticed if the navi doesn't work so does the carplay. I have built in navi. Also does the iphone has to connected by BT for the carplay to work? I tried my wife's iphone and carplay didn't work, she has ios 7.01.

No I have not, I will give it a shot. I will also try a different iphone. I'm pretty sure its the head unit.

Stay away from Pioneer, I will do my homework when I'm ready to buy another one next time. I'm having an horrendous experience with the product and their customer service. I bought mine off ebay, so what my deck is still under warranty but they won't honour it since I didn't buy it from an authorize dealer. I love Apple not just because of their products, also because their customer service, they own their product.

My Siri has gone silent, navigation broken. Two of the major components of this deck are gone, I'm so done with Pioneer. I bought mine off ebay too, does it automatically comes with square trade warranty?

Siri voice feedback is always on. I think I have a faulty unit, navigation is broken as well.

I have tried adjusting the volume in a call absolutely no sound, I don't recall ever touching the volume settings! Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi there, I'm desperately trying to bring the Siri Audio back, does anyone knows how can I adjust the volume for messages and phone apps for Carplay like maps. Siri is completly silent, I'm not getting any Siri Audio. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes I have the same problem but no clue whats wrong with it. Its not your Microphone for sure.

I have the same problem, I bought the unit off ebay, came from the US and I'm in Canada. I called Pioneer they are asking for proof of purchase , I'm so upset I dished out 550 for this unit and it failed in less than six months. Any suggestions? my Antenna is installed on the dash, signals did come back once and than failed again. Also I can't hear anything Siri says, complete silence, can't hear the map directions or text messages. So frustrating.
