  1. I doubt there will be an update for that. From what ive read, its an ipod restriction and not the D3... but i could be wrong. As far as the 80gb classic goes, there are many reports that the classics do not work on the d3 and you should stick with 5Gen or 5.5 generation....
  2. That would definately be SICK!! I have the HTC touch, but unfortunately no video out, that im aware of..... Im sure you can head to radio shack and get a rca to 3.5mm cable. Might run you a few bucks (less than ten) but its one solution
  3. Any of you Toronto/GTA peeps interested in a group buy?? If we can get 12 of us, we'll just split the cost.... 10 bucks a piece for the update disk is a steal. But, we'll aslo have to figure a way to incorporate the cost of the DL dvds into the mix for whoever is designated as the 'copier/burner'. If youre interested, lemme know. Cause i sure as hell aint payin 120 for that update disk. Either that, or someone can be kind enough to throw the East disk up on a torrent. =)
  4. My bad, i always thought there was three for some reason. Guess i never counted the ground.
  5. But, are you using the right cable?? there should be three notches, or bands, on the tip of the plug that goes into the D3.
  6. Ive flown a heli before, but an electric. I never got into nitro mainly because of the cost. I had an eflite blade cp and it was my first (and only) heli. It took me a few months to learn to hover tail-in, and a couple addtional weeks to hover nose-in. Nose-in was very difficult in my opinion because everything is reversed.... Ive been into rc vehicles for years and Im pretty good with handling the cars but rc flight is a whole different level...... So i sold the bird. Now most of my time is devoted to my Traxxas Revo.
  7. No. You have two choices for playing video on the d3. The first being a dvd. Obviously your typical standard movie dvd or backed up copies of a dvd will play just fine. You also have the ability to play avi files which have been encoded to divx and burned onto a dvd as a data disc. The second choice is via your ipod. Once the ipod is connected to the d3 you can view videos which are stored on your ipod. The ipod will play videos which are in mp4 format. So essentially what you want to do is either of the following: 1. Encode all your movies (from youtube or wherever) to Divx and burn
  8. The D3 will play files encoded in divx that are burned on a dvd. Keep in mind tho, if you encode a video you got from youtube to divx, its not gonna perform any miracles and give you utmost video quality. The ipod plays video in mp4 format.
  9. SUPER by erightsoft It will convert anything to anything (just about) and is fairly simple to use. Give it a try
  10. Just an FYI: be careful when making bids for ipods on ebay. You WILL receive ALOT of 'second chance offers' that are just spoofs. Do not reply to anyone other than the person selling the item.... if youre already familiar with ebay then you should know what to do
  11. go to download.com and search for a divx converter.
  12. It will all depend on whether the ipod will function with a power source or not. If its just the battery thats dead, i dont see why it wont work. If there is a power problem with the ipod and it doesnt even turn on, then it may be risky. Ask the seller to power the ipod with a usb cable or ac cable and let you know if it functions....if it does, i think youll be good

    Music Videos

Since stage6.com closed, veoh.com seems to be the new place. Check it out, if you find anyting else tho, let me know too. I find .flvs a plain waste of time... well, most.
  14. t_Mac... download a program called TMpegEnc. Make sure your mpegs are mpeg2. Put the files in TMpegEnc and it will create the necessary files into a folder which you specify. You can also create menus and thumbnails for your files. Then take those files and burn a movie file in whatever burning software you use. I like Nero, but to each his own. There are many methods of going about it, this is just the way i use. Tommyranch... use super converter. If 500x240 is too small, try a larger resolution.
  15. I have no experience with it myself, but i heard alot of good things about the BOYO cams you can get off ebay. 0.02
  16. If i understand correctly, You have flvs which you encoded to avi and burned to a disc?? If so, i think youre gonna need to further encode your avis to DivX. Im not too sure how to encode to DivX since ive never done it, but ive had lots of success using SUPER by erightsoft to convert video files. It will convert just about anything to just about anything. I dont think it has a DivX encoder tho, but im not sure. check download.com for a divx encoder. But dude, if youre having problems playing music files.... im not too sure i have the time to help you
  17. See, now he's gone and thrown a curveball to everyone with that picture. Naw dude, the original poster was asking about securing the mirror so it doesnt move when his subs are pounding bass. And judging by the dash in the above pic, the car doesnt look older than 5 years anyway.... Im just sayin
  18. Sorry dude, i cant help you with the time issue. My car is parked for the winter and i havent even gone through all of the menus myself. I only installed it to make sure it was working and there were no issues with the screen or navi before the 30 day best buy return policy. It kills me to not be able to play with my d3.... There was a thread on here just yesterday or the day before about how to set the time. You shouldnt have to look far, just scroll down a bit. If not, theres always the manual
  19. Its true. I never waste my time putting flvs on dvd. man, i miss stage6
  20. ok... but still, the pic doesnt give any perspective. It looks like hes just tryna show off his back-up camera and im mad about it cause i dont have one yet!! haha
  21. glad you got it hooked up..... Ya, the bypass is pretty self-explanitory....not hard at all. Just be careful not to apply too much pressure when removing the mute wire because you might break the pin.
  22. I have no clue about what wire youre talking about that connects directly to the battery...... The yellow 12v dc will power the unit, and its fine to just hook it up to the vibe harness. You can ground wherever you like. I like to phisically bolt the ground to the chassis, but tapping to the ground on the harness is fine as well. Dont quote me on this, but i do believe the orange wire is for illumination.... i dont remember.. Do you not have a orange wire on the Vibe harness?? Regardless, just match all the colours, i dont think you should have anything NOT connected on the power harness.
  23. nice.... i think im gonna try it. Thanks
  24. download a program called 'super', (google erightsoft), and TmpegENC. Throw the flv into super and convert it to mpeg2. Then use TmpgEnc to convert your mpeg to dvd ready files. Throw the dvd ready files into nero or whatever burning tool you use, and youre good to go. I highly doubt youre gonna end up with a good quality video tho, just letting you know. There are other ways of going about this, but this is the method i use.
