  1. Were you able to test the PAC unit out?
  2. I can confirm his post. I couldn't use the 1st SD Card. My guess is because I had already updated the WinCE on the device, and it was looking for the old version. As for the Update, it worked just as he said. I just have to reapply my mods to the device and I'm good as gold.
  3. Hello All, I just saw Pioneer updated my order status from Pending Shipment to "Shipped: 08/11/2009". At the time of my Order, the update cost $60 + $5 for shipping. I just checked today, $120!!!! Thats nuts! I will be getting my official update any day now. If anyone knows a good place to host the files let me know. The official name of the order: CNSD-100FM MAP update- AVIC-F90BT,-F900BT,-F700BT

    Image.res

Ok, So I sat down for an hour last night trying different Settings and found the solution of what settings 7-zip needs to properly recompress (zip) the folder for Image.res. Archive Format: 7z Compression Level: Fastest Compression Method: LZMA Dictionary Size: 16 MB Word size: 64 Solid Block Size: Solid The setings I had to keep tweaking were the dictinary size and the solid block size. Im not sure if the word size makes a different, but the above settings is what worked for me. I'm also including a screen capture of the window. I did notice that when you unzip the ori

    Mine isn't a Trial.

    Image.res

I seem to have intermittent luck. I'm using 7-Zip and use the 7z format when I rezip. Then change the extension from 7z to res. Some icons appear, others do not. Can someone tell me What settings they have on their 7zip Archiver? Here's what's set on mine... Archive format: 7z Compression Level: Normal Compression method: LZMA Dictionary Size: 16 MB Word size: 32 Solid Block Size: 16MB Encryption Method: AES-256 I've also attached a screenshot.
  7. LOL, Gotta Love the StrongBad. Haven't seen that character in a while.
  8. I downloaded the "3.0+.Files" located on ftp://buckeyecollision.us/JAFO/. I can only Assume this is the work of a certain famous modder on this forum. (Good Mods btw) I just have one small issue. When I go to the Route Screen to Change the Icon Used (Default is "CAR), I receive an error. The Error is as follows: FFUI error FFUIERROR: Unknown object identifier Identifier=[btnSV_Car] Script "st_SettingVehicle_init" command 2 Its a pop up window error. I can click OK and continue on to the intended screen. However any changes are not saved. Also of note, it happens again onc
  9. On my ipod, it does not Pause, it is only muted while it continues to play. Haven't tried it with the iPhone 3GS.
  10. I just purchased Firmware version 3.0 for $60 US. Then add $5 for UPS Ground. Thats not a bad deal when you think about it. I know my TomTom map updates were not cheap. Although, it would be nice if they at least had a free firmware option.
  11. OK, So it would appear I've lost my 2008.10 Maps completely, and I'm not sure how. I still have my 2008.04 Maps. I thought I found the maps I needed, however I found map files for iGo 8.3 and not 8.0. Tell me someone can help me out? I have the storage space, if someone could upload them there for me. Thanks.
  12. I havent had a chance to check out the system much, since I just loaded the update late last nite, and havent used it much today. I just finished downloading my 2008.10 maps (don't ask where I got them, you can google it on certain torrent sites or news servers). It could be all in my head, but it does seem that the system is a little more snappy to button presses. However, I also have cmh928's 6.6.09 mod loaded on my system. His mod is one of the best I've used so far, and I love what has been done so far. I know version 3.0 firmware is right around the corner at a cost. I beli
  13. I have no idea what would happen if you load the update on a NON-US System. However, If I were to guess, it has to do with a Map Licensing issue. The Navigation of the system on the US firmware update only has a License for US maps. If I were to guess, a person would only have to load a mod that would allow them to use any Map they wish. My suggestion is, backup your system with Testmode, and load the update. If it doesn't work, there are methods posted in these forums that describe how to revert the firmware to your previous version.
  14. Does anyone else know where I can find this? I'm trying to reload his mods again and lost the zip I had. His mods are honestly my favorite. If anyone can point me in the direction, Id appreciate it.
  15. Ok, so I took the risk and downloaded the new Firmware (2.006). It went relatively smoothly, however... It appears that my mod to enable use of 2008.10 Maps no longer works. I'm trying to search through the Forums now, but with so many posts, its hard to sort through it all, to see if there is a way to re-enable this. Since my Maps have been disabled, I'm not sure if my Mods from cmh928 are still efective. I have downloaded the new Testmode v2.3. I will be testing this out later. It's a bit late and I think my brain is fried. lol. If anyone has any suggestions, or tips, I'd
  16. I have the 32gb iPhone 3GS. I also have the AVIC F90BT. With My system, when I originally got it, I had the iPhone 3G. The cable that came with the AVIC worked....somewhat. My results were that there was no video on that cable, and I received a trickle charge. By trickle charge, I mean, it was so slow, Id have to have it plugged in for hours for it to receive anything useful. To receive video on my 3G at the time (and works on my iPhone 3GS now), I purchased the Apple COMPOSITE AV Cable (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB129 ... Mzk4NzUwMA). It works great, however I do not receive
  17. I have a F90BT / Factory Bose and an Amp. I have a Nissan Maxima. I can assure you that my single 10" is more than enough. My Sub is a Infiniti BaseLink II. I keep the levels on it low, as not to disturb others around me (or ruin my hearing). If you are wanting to give it a try, start off with one Sub. Its cheaper to get one now, then buy 2 before you realize that 2 are too much.
  18. I've discovered that sometimes mine charges, sometimes it does not. I suspect that it has to do with the fact that my phone is Jailbroken. Since it is jailbroken, it drains the battery faster. Probably faster than the Stereo can charge it. For those having charging problems, what cable are you using and is it jailbroken?
  19. There may be some validity behind your statement. On the iPhone & iPhone 3G, there is a daemon (a daemon is a background application) that runs the iPod application. I can see it possible that the daemon may be reseting or something. The iPhone normally does not allow more than one application to run at a time. However, it usually lets the iPod application run in the background while you access something else on there. But since mine is jailbroken, that daemon may be crashing since so many other things are loaded on mine. Has anyone WITHOUT a jailbroken iPhone 3G seen this issue
  20. It was pointed out to me today that the first song that plays, is by Artist order (the artist being Adele). So that is why it plays that song. But what causes it to go back to that is unknown. To my knowledge, nothing on the iPhone is occuring, but without knowing more about the error, its hard to diagnose. I'd imagine that there are logs on the F90BT somewhere, but haven't checked yet.
  21. I have already read that particular thread, and as far as I understood, it mostly deals with changing the settings and not changing out any hardware, which is what I'm mostly interested in. I already plan to change the settings as outlined in that thread. However, thank you so much for the input! Anyone know about changing the hardware to augment the RAM? One would think that this should be possible. All the system is, is Windows CE. As long as the version of CE and the motherboard can support whatever upgrade you'd like it should work. However, there are a few things to consid
  22. I have the F90BT connected to my iPhone 3G. At the moment, I have to wait for the system to boot up before I connect the iPhone 3G (not sure why, but if I don't, the F90BT doesn't always see the iPhone 3g). When I do connect the iPhone, instead of playing the song I last played SSS from album AAA, the F90BT plays the same song from one of my other albums. I can change albums and play a song as I would normally and have no issues. Say I shut down the car in the middle of a song, if I start backup shortly after, it will pickup where it left off. However, if I come back after a longer
  23. Here's a Link to my Post. I have both the CD-IU230V and the Apple Composite AV cable. Check the link: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... 28#p159328 .
  24. UPDATE (14 April 2009) I noticed yesterday that my iPhone 3G, Running 2.2.1 (Jailbroken) does NOT get a charge while connected to my AVIC-F90BT. Here's what I found... With the Apple Composite AV Video, while playing music on the iPhone from the Stereo, it doesn't get a charge. Well, if there is any charge, the amount of power required to run the iPhone is greater than the amount of power being supplied to the iPhone via the Apple Composite Video. I didn't NOTICE any change when I left it plugged in for 20 minutes and had the iPhone 3G sitting idle (I.E. it wasnt playing music and the
