  1. I don't know much about that unit, but it sounds like it wasn't installed correctly. There typically are two power wires. One wire (probably red) is to be connected to a switched 12v and is used solely to trigger the unit on/off with the ignition. The other wire (probably yellow) is supposed to be connected to an always on 12v circuit. This is the main power for the unit and it will allow the unit to retain settings. Sounds like you have both these wires connected to a switched circuit. In that case, your unit will do a factory reset every time you start-up. This is just a guess. BTW, if you d
  2. My only suggestion is to check your harness wiring to the car's lights. If you don't have a x930 installation manual, you can probably download it from the Pioneer site. I'm guessing either the harness pin-out is different or the illumination wire (orange/white) isn't connected. BTW, I wouldn't assume that your old power connector is the same pin-out as the X930. There are often differences even with similar units. If you have the correct x930 cable (should of come with the unit), check pin location for the orange/white wire. If you don't have the correct x930 cable - you can buy one from Pio
  3. Normal operation is no noise or movement - unless the previous owner had set a custom LCD viewing angle. Then it will attempt to go to that angle each time the unit is turned on. Just a guess, but since you admit to a screen positioning problem, it might cause a mechanical noise as it attempts to make a minor angle adjustment. Look in the operations manual on how to set the screen angle, and make sure it is set to fully closed.
  4. The offical map releases now come from Navigation.com 2015 is the latest release for our units (z110-z140). I imagine at some point they will stop updating older units - trying to force us to "upgrade" to newer hardware.
  5. On Navigation.com Pioneer T1000-23348 addendum
  6. I won't say it's impossible but it is extremely unlikely. Only the maps would possibly be useful since the 50 series units use a different CPU. Certainly way beyond my skill level. And not worth the effort for someone who is that skilled. After all, the 2015 update isn't that old. Better to wait for the next map update for our units.
  7. If your file doesn't look like this it is a different file. I don't know if the F series uses the same program since there's no speedcam on the US.
  8. Yes. You should be able to revert to the previous version (the active PRG directory) by creating or deleting /USER/PRG.FLG. Also, it usually is a good idea to make a backup of /USER on to SD before making any changes. However you can always create a new PRG.FLG since it is just an empty file.
  9. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but what exactly is your symptom and provide more info about how you got there. It's very time consuming to play 20 questions to get to the root problem.
  10. Did you try using the PRG.FLG file to toggle back to the previous version stored in the alternate /USER/PRG directory tree? If it works you should be able to install the appropriate iPod support patch. Then re-install v 6.0
  11. Install the 2015 upgrade. link
  12. Yeah, new spammers are showing up frequently. This site is going into a death spiral. Pretty soon it will just be a useless joke. I volunteered to moderate it (to kill spam) but got no reply.
  13. No need to spam this all over the place. Not going to get an answer any faster.
  14. With the limited info you posted, sounds like you're toast. Did you try testmode? Can you open the screen to access the CD or SD slot? Did the power die during your software install?
  15. See if you have locking tabs like #2 in this picture. With this one, you need all 4 unlocked at the same time (recommend toothpicks or something).
  16. You mean this one? Why is this being kept a secret? So I'm not picking on you. BTW, I thought you said it was resolved.
  17. There's either something wrong with your installation or you have a hardware problem. In the Troubleshooting section of the manual, there are 10 possible Cause/Actions for your symptom. Is the VSS sensor connected and calibrated for your vehicle? This will be very helpful in dead reckoning when there are weak GPS signals. It also requires accurate inertial tracking. This can be interfered with by the angle of the headunit and possibly other nearby electronics. Read the Positioning Technology section in the appendix of your manual. It might give you some other ideas on what is interfering
  18. You came to the board begging for help, then suddenly clam-up. Nobody gets paid here. The purpose of this site is to be a community of users, helping other users. So it sounds like you are refusing to even give a hint how you fixed your problem. I'm sure glad you are in the minority. I'm starting to get the feeling that there are a few vultures who use this board as a source of revenue. If you ran into one of them, don't be silent out of misplaced loyalty. They are selling the work of others. Probably things they learned here. By keeping the knowledge public, you will prevent others from
  19. Would it of killed you to actually explain HOW it was resolved??? That would be a great way to express your gratitude.

Select My Settings Select 'Ignore' Preferences go to "Add a new user to my list" and paste in Luannatrigh select the checkboxes Ignore: Posts Signature Messages, then Save Changes You'll still see the message header but not the gibberish in the message body. It's much less annoying and easier to scroll past. I'm sorry for spamming this message over many sub-forums, but I want to reach as many users as possible.
