This update is just for the Gracenote Database and has no effect whatsoever on the flash mod or any other functions of the AVIC.

I had the same problem when I installed mine. Come to find out I had done what Ducati is referring to and had the ends swapped. Switched them and it worked great.

I almost switched or added XM as well. It look like they will be adding other brands later this year. Hope the Z1 can use it.

I have my Sirius unit mounted behind the dash and have had zero probs with it.

Search is gooooood. Wait they are sticky so you dont even have to search.

I think thats the nav background...When you change it it also changes dynamics. I could be wrong thought guess I should check

For what its worth....I have a 04 F-150 and the wire is grey with a black stripe. Its in the trucks wiring harness. I just tapped directly into it with the pink wire. Its wasnt on the metra wiring harness but the truck harness that attached to my old HU.

On mine when you are on the Sirius page there is a button labeled DISP(first button on the second row up...I think) when pushed it cycles through the channel, Genre, Station name i.e. Octane, Group and song name. I will check and see if I can get some pics for ya tomorrow.

Hello all. Well I've been lurking here for about a week and decided to introduce myself and thank everyone for the priceless info posted in this forum. As of yesterday I am the proud new father of a Z-1. The install went off without a hitch(also installed a SIR-PNR2 and bluetooth). Total time about 3hrs. Once again thanks to this site and the F-150 guys(Duke and Steve) for the numerous helpful posts and threads. Now I cant wait to actually learn how to use all the options this thing has.
