coocho is right. Until someone figures out a hack in the core application files, you are gonna see that message. Someone has figured out a way to edit the text on it, but not disable it yet. My programmer side tells me that some other application is launching it. If we knew how it was coded, we could either hack the reference to it or create something else that launches and goes away automatically. Hopefully someone with the knowledge and time can figure it out.

First, cut the black and white wire in the back and connect that to the front left speaker wire. Next, place a DVD in the system and enter the menu and tap the four corners of the screen starting in the upper left hand going counter-clockwise. Exit the DVD menu and go into the radio. Tune to channel 88.6 and tap the bottom left hand corder 6 times. Hit the menu 8 times and then hold the volume knob. Repeat 4 times and then read your manual, page 75.

Agreed with above. YouTube videos on the D3 have pretty crappy quality. If you can find higher resolution videos somewhere else, I'd invest the time and get them there.

I leave my iPod hooked up 24/7. It's been in the car for the past two months and I haven't seen any battery drain.

The display is pretty good with DVD. It's not so good with video from the iPod because it was meant for a small screen.

That's interesting. I don't really use Nero to copy discs. I use UltraISO to create an ISO and then burn it with Nero. Nero is really good a burning images (created by standard tools). But it isn't very good at making images or copying. Alcohol is good too, but not for dual layer images. If DVD Decrypter works for ya, go for it! But I like to recommend the big boys because they are good for other stuff too.

I wouldn't try soldering that many cables together in one joint. Also, you might want to consider tapping off of something else besides that one power run in your harness. That's a lot of power pulling from one run.

Yes. I don't know why all these people are using DVD Decrypter for ripping a DATA dvd. DVD Decrypter should only be used for movies, not data. Use a real burning program like Nero or Alcohol or any other burning app.

Just repeating what others have said works. If you want to use a 480x234, go for it. That's the native resolution. But I've heard that it scales down ok.

Hmm.. Does your light have an "on" position rather than auto? You may have to find something else to tap into.

Sorry I left out that info. When using Nero, it automatically finalizes the disc so I didn't think to mention that. Yes, the pictures folder itself needs to be more than 5 mbs (actually less but 5 is safe). Just be sure the pictures are the right size and format (jpg and I think non-progressive).

I use DVD-R and it works just fine so I think it handles both.

I found a website that ripped the FLV's from youtube. I then used a converter to make them mpgs and another converter to go from mpg to mp4. All that run around for a crappy quality video. :/ If you can find videos in a higher resolution, I'd try that first.

Be careful to not mount a 360 or PS3 in a small area. They tend to get hot.

Try reloading the software and then reset it? I don't know if that will help but it's worth a shot.

You need a graphics program to make a 1000x480 jpg. Then make a folder called pictures on a CD and save them. Be sure the total size of the CD is around 5 megs or more (you can use any file to increase the size). Insert into the D3, import picture.
