  1. i love it! the 3d mapping is great, also the bluetooth works like it should....seems like the firmware fix got it working right. i have the lg voyager and phonebook transferred without a problem and connects everytime! id definitely recommend it!
  2. i noticed that my start up time varies a little.....i just installed my 90bt yesterday...initial start up time was a little long, but not bad. second start up was about a good 30 seconds shorter or so. maybe im going crazy though lol
  3. well, he can add line out converters to the factory plug in order to retain the amp. also, move the amp turn on lead to the accessory circuit in the factory harness as well. its a lot of work for a 2 week wait. if it was me in that situation, i would just bust out the ipod lol
  4. from what ive read, you will be able to pick programming a la carte.....which will be nice. i believe that the tuner will not have to change, just the service subscription on their end.
  5. looks like there is a 4 channel amp in the car? if so, it all depends on how that was installed. if they ran the wires from the amp to the back of the radio and tagged the speaker wires there, then you should be able to get sound if you unplug the harness that plugged into the stock one. but if the wires are going from the amp to the speakers directly, then youll have to rewire the system before you will get sound.
  6. yeah no problem...i will today when i get a chance. hopefully they have them in!!!
  7. okie dokie...i wish i could have ordered it online though! its a far drive from moreno valley to ontario! i remember i was 10th on the wait list for the 90bt.
  8. dang what the heck?!? im still waiting for my local al and eds to call me and tell me its in. do the shops have them in yet?
  9. yeah true....that was in my 98 f150. my mustang is the same way, depends on the battery and starter like you said.
  10. not unless you wire it up to a constant power source that will not cut out during crank. ive done it before with my truck. the radio never cut out while cranking.
  11. what i was planning on doing was hooking up a relay from my remote start/alarm's output channels that stays on after activating to turn on the radio. that way i could either remote start my car and the car and radio will be running by the time i get to it, or i can just activate the radio to turn on so that its booted up by the time i get to the car. oh and ive had the same viper remote start alarm for 4 years without a single issue. if you always have had problems id suggest a better installer. most of the time its the install that causes problems.
  12. yeah same here...i usually remote start my car as im walking out of my apt. i live on the 3rd floor, so i remote start it, walk down the stairs, over to the car, get situated and im sure by then the unit will be done booting up and functioning. i normally remote start my car so it has some time to get the oil flowing and warmed up by the time i reach it. so im not worried about the start up time.
  13. yeah hopefully. but i remember when i ordered it back in june, that i was the 10th person on the list. hopefully those ahead of me had not given their cc info!
  14. yey! i just got off the phone with al and eds in ontario and they said they should be receiving the 90bt in any day now....but only 5 hopefully i can get mine sometime this summer, since its been paid for since june!
  15. the d3 and p4000 are up on display at my work (bestbuy) and the p4000 is very similar, but the interface isnt as "smooth" looking or "clean", whatever you wanna call it. the basic functions are very similar with the exception of the nav. the 4000 is a nice unit though. i like it.
  16. sounds like the camera's power wire is wired to the reverse light. the camera should be wired to the accessory power wire.
  17. ive run across a couple d3s that have had bad alternator wine through the rcas. everything else was grounded perfectly and ran perfectly. hopefully they fixed it!
  18. the antenna may have fallen out again...some of the new toyota antenna plugs do not stay in aftermarket radios too well....from what ive seen. i had that issue with a camry, but i caught it before it left the shop. i just bent the metal pieces out a little more on the plug so that it would stick in there better.
  19. +1 the factory one wont work. only the factory antenna will. i reused the factory antenna from my 06 f150 but not the tuner. its just no compatible.
  20. yeah i know huh, i wanted to call al and eds today to see if they have any word, but i resisted, knowing that we would probably know here before anyone else. probably wont be anything till mid/late july oh well, at least i have my pre ordered.
  21. the btb200 works, but only as an external device. i tried mine on my brothers z1 and it only showed up as ext. 1....so basically the controls were non existent and it didnt work. not sure about the z2 or z3 but the z1 didnt work well. i gotta find him the bt1 for the z series for him
  22. sounds like the regulator back fed voltage into the avic which in turn caused the internal amp to cut out. i have an 07 stang with the shaker 500. the door speakers are run directly off the head unit and 2 amps (located above the driver side kick panel) drive the door subs. ive actually been happy with the subs the way they are. the car is a year old..with 25000 miles on it and theyre still intact and sound good. anyways, the internal amp will shut off if it detects a ground on a speaker lead, i guess with the f series, it would shut off and go into protect mode if it sees a problem with
  23. steveo555, youll still need the pioneer sirius tuner but you can still use the factory antenna only. the antenna thats included with the pioneer sirius unit can be replaced with the factory antenna, but you still need to buy the tuner. the ford tuner will only work with the ford radio.
  24. you can reuse the factory sirius antenna, but you just need to remove the plastic from around the antenna plug in order for it to plug into the pioneer tuner. your sirius tuner is in the trunk...i believe on the passenger side behind the liner. my 07 stang didnt come factory with sirius, so im going off of what i remember from other stangs. the install should be about 200 dollars at most. 100 for install, 50 for the sirius tuner, and the the other 50 for parts (at the highest price). i have my gps antenna under the dashboard...just make sure there are no metal pieces above the antenna otherwis
  25. dang i just ordered mine from the ontario , cali store....im number 10 on the wait list
