XBinRochester
I am in the middle of attempting the Hardware Mod. I have found and moved the Yellow Mute wire, but I do not have a light green wire going to the other (Black) connector. I see the two green speaker wires and I have another green wire (same color green as the speaker wires). Does anyone have a picture of the connector so I can figure out which one is the PB wire? Disconnecting the green wire I do have doesn't affect the PB at all!
MotoRiggy
You should have a long light green wire that would be the PB wire that you would ground.. I grounded it to the black ground wire from my F90BT to the wiring harness adapter. Check this very detail write up on a similar install with some very clear picture directions. Hope it helps! http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/foru ... dio+wiring
XBinRochester
Thanks, I found what I was looking for. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a272/ ... inouts.jpg My Unit does not have a light green wire going to the connector, so I needed to find a picture of the connector showing the position of the wire or a pin-out diagram. Thanks for everyone's help

cheesewhiz
Software bypass was cake using the posts in this forum. I couldn't program my way out of a wet paper sack, but I accomplished the software bypass with complete ease just by reading your step by step instructions. Thanks to all!! Looking forward to trying more hacks.
luckytart
Did the hardware bypass only on the F90bt. The video and AV2(for my Zune) work great. But now my Bluetooth isn't working, and it did work before the bypass. Any thoughts?

airtas
does the hardware bypass stop working with firmware 2.0?
fastpakr
The bypass works fine with all firmware releases.
airtas
are there different versions of this? because whoever bypassed it for me before was working until the new firmware
fastpakr
are there different versions of this? because whoever bypassed it for me before was working until the new firmware Completely wild guess? Somebody did the software bypass so it was cleared with the firmware change. Search for software hack and you'll find more info about re-applying it.
airtas
do you need to do both wired connection and software?
fastpakr
Parking brake needs to be grounded plus -either- software hack or move and ground the mute wire. I suspect yours had the software hack, and that it was cleared in the firmware upgrade. You can either redo the hack or pull the radio out and move/ground the mute wire. The easiest would be the software change.
