Jfinley0
Here is the awesome Stanislov/Andr2000 v3.0 setup with a new front end to it. I love the new changes they have done for 3.0, but never liked having the big screen on the left of the main screen when not navigating so as you can see below in the screen shots I have done some modifications. Current screen shots below show non-navigate and navigate mode of operation. Not sure where its going next... gonna play some XBOX with the wife for a bit. I'll update the newest Andr2000 as soon as I see if some more updates come out. Currently uses the Dec 2, 2009 Andr2000 change 3/15/10 update 1. Click and hold the bottom street sign causes screen to black out 2. Click and hold Time during non-navigation toggles date and time 3. Other fixes by Andr2000 for this version 10/29/09 update 1. Next and Current street backgrounds match with transparency 2. Clock moved under speed, new cockpit background 3. Satellite icon upper right corner (sat dish shows status sat dish shows status) when no navigation, And 2 vertical bars when navigating 4. GPS screen has globe with satellites around it now color of sat wings show status 5. Fixed MPH readout so when using Kilometers it will change to KM/H instead 6. Return to Cockpit button is on the map plan screen left side A. New ezrider.exe that should now show correct altitude in feet up to 21120 feet 10/21/09 update 1. Added route progress bar when in navigation mode and also will show up same place during simulation mode. Upper right of screen white/black bar and orange icon moves from left to right. To enable go into visual settings and advanced settings toggle on or off 10/19/09 update 1. New icons added for street and next waypoint and also GPS on the screen 2. Top and Bottom for street and next street show more details 3. Street on bottom if to much is on the line it will animate and scroll 4. Added new speedwarn icon that is bigger 5. Freeway signs are now smaller and don't take up so much room. Don't overlap icons on right 10/14/09 update 1. Fixed the issue in navigation mode, clicking on the clock or time under the speed will toggle through 3 settings, current time, eta to destination and ete to destination 2. More alignment fixes in the cockpit detail screen 10/13/09 1. Time format when not navigating moved to top right with new background. This hides when speed cam warning fires off and shows distance instead and also hides when you have a route running. 2. Added GPS screen access by clicking on top right of screen where GPS icon is. This works only when GPS icon is present. 3. Removed big Cockpit on left of screen during non-navigation modes and added small speed and speed limit screen that matches and lines up with main cockpit during navigation mode 4. Added my shortcut icons across top of screen with new icons. 5. Changed icons on right of screen to new picturs 6. Added delete route and new mute speaker icon when route is present 7. Added shortcut to access day and night mode schemes easier. 8. All icons fade out after a few seconds. Compass does not. 9. Clicking on the speed icon still brings up the cockpit mode display and I have positioned the readouts vertically to be more inline with each other. AVICaddict
THANK YOU FOR HELP In IDT's mod, on the first page, there are exact instructions. You can insert a link? thank you -currently this has the subaru impreza rally car as the default 3D car to change the 3D arrow to a car model download the 3DCars.rar file on the download link provided and extract it and you have to edit the sys.txt change the current values of this Code: Select all 3dcarsizemin=2500 3dcarsizemax=5000 3dcarsizemul=15000 to this Code: Select all 3dcarsizemin=5000 3dcarsizemax=8000 3dcarsizemul=30000 and add this part to the [3D] section Code: Select all car_day=hot_rod_red.mdl car_night=hot_rod_red.mdl ghost_day=hot_rod_red.mdl ghost_night=hot_rod_red.mdl you now have to transfer the desired carmodel and tex file to the gfx folder in the data.zip and change the names of the above code to your selected car model name, i haven't tested every car model out as i already like the hot_rod car, but it's just a trial and error thing ovalball, I haven't put this theme in yet (but I will be in the next 48 hours!) and am still running on the unofficial 3.0 FW but would like to change the arrow to 3d cars. I couldn't find this code in the sys.txt file but I did find it in the pioneer.ini file. Is that where the settings need to be changed? Mine currently looks like this... 3d_scale_carmodel=1 3dcarsizemin=2150 3dcarsizemax=2150 3dcarsizemul=40000 ...and of course there is no [3D] section as you mentioned. Should I just wait until after I install this theme or is it easy to explain how to install 3D cars on the stock 3.0 FW? Thanks for your help!

aguilani
This is an outstanding interface upgrade... and my favorite! it's very clean and usable, plus it's fast. just make sure you only load the maps you need for overall system performance.
ovalball
This is one of my favourite mods.If only we could incorporate it into Avicnet.I would be one happy 411er!
abb1
This is one of my favourite mods.If only we could incorporate it into Avicnet.I would be one happy 411er! I have to disagree with putting Avicnet into it. I tried running the Igo Primo and was VERY dissapointed. The Avicnet seems to be close to the same ordeal. What this does is incorporate all the old crappy nav systems that are on sub $99 systems and puts them on the Avic. All these old nav systems do not compare to the updated modded Systems that we have running here. I had a buddy in my car for the first time and he said that my Avic (with my Abb 5.0) was the best looking NAV system he has ever seen in a vehicle. If I would have been running the Primo that I was before, he would not even have noticed as it looks and operates the same as any sub $99 external Nav system out there. I was initially going to put TomTom in with my 5.0. I tried it for a week and was depressed at how Generic the TomTom system looked that I deleted the file and thought, why would I be going backwards by putting a 10 yr old program into my Avic, with few, if any changes graphically. ovalball
Youre probably right Abb.However after all the fantastic efforts by Ryar(still ongoing?)I am happy to stay with it until things are at thier optimum. If not we have all the fantastic mods which yourself,Chuck,IDT,Diafita,DPDurst, and many others to rely on.I am just happy that this forum is still going and welcome any new ideas. Some may work and some wont, but that is better than a dead forum IMHO. I agree with you totally! Ryar has done an excellent job keeping the interest in this forum going with the Primo and Avicnet (it is just not for me), as it has sparked interest into this forum and kept it rolling. Unfortunately, I think that these mods are at their limit now. I may however, get back into modifying the Avic graphically again, once I get really bored with my V5,
ryar
Edit: Comments removed. Ovalball is right, as he usually is. It is the holidays and there is no reason to bicker.
ovalball
As a user, rather than a modder,I love the Avicnet interface.I accept that there was ,and in certain aspects, still are teething troubles with it.This is the reason why I will always be more than happy to try things out on my european unit which will hopefully be of some assistance to the real stars of this forum, the modders.Unfortunately some stars see thier status as more important than others....but thats life!I hope we can all carry on together and continue to make Avic411 a great site to visit, and contribute. They may well be other potential stars out there itching to put thier ideas forward.Lets not put them off by letting this forum develop into a war of words. It is Christmas after all, good will to all men and all that. Got to completely disagree with the sentiments expressed here. Ryar's work with Primo and then Avicnet are the only developments keeping this subforum alive. They also happen to be by far the most professional looking mods dragging our units somewhere up-to-date in terms of graphics, UI and general usability. The old Pioneer interface and map display is verging on embarrassingly dated if you have anything approaching a modern car. Unfortunately most mods just add layers of visual and functional confusion. dumpystig
Stanislavovichs' Mod is almost certainly the best that has been done for the Avic. These other mods have no visual finesse - a mix of fonts, some garish, some at times unreadable, and icons/symbols that have been culled from various sources and have no common theme or fluidity. And way too many toys/gimmicks that, if played with whilst driving, would cause even more unneccessary accidents. They each have certainly taken up lots of time but I see the end results and think even the stock version is better.
