This worked marvelously on my F700BT.

 

Playing files from USB via my Motorola Droid works perfectly now, I can dismount/remount the SD card and the head unit is able to access the card. Unit overall responds better and seems to have less buggy behavior. Very happy, highly recommended.

Are the WinCEIMG files for this the same as the ones for the 3.0 update?

hello;

when i arrive to the update menu it ask me update wince sd/mmc or update wince sd/mmc (format).for make sure i must chose with (format)?

 

I didn't do it but I guess step 4 in the first post tell you what to do .

I was wondering if someone could help me with something. I'm encountering a problem with this update.

I have performed all steps, I copied all the files from the SD card to the "My flash disk" on the F90BT. I did all this, after it all transfered, I then held the reset button for 5 seconds and then released. The radio would reboot, the pioneer logo shows up, and then it would bring me back to WINCE menu with the SD card in. Without the SD card in the machine, after the pioneer logo during bootup it goes black.

 

Does anyone know where I'm going wrong? Right now my radio is just hunk of junk taking up space in my dash.

Install was less than 30 mins. Works great on my F700BT. Unit touch screen responds better and the new maps and menus look great as well.. Very happy, highly recommended.

OK i tried to do the update, i did step by step what it told me to do. Now on the last step after its done copying all the files from my SD to the head unit in the windows mode looking thing, it took like 20 mins.

 

after its done it jsut looks like widows so then i it held the reset button for 5 seconds. And when it restart up to the pioneer screen then my unit shuts off ??

 

Please help , i hope i did not break it, my head unit is the 700bt. what can i do to fix it ?

Ok i had the same problem your having but i just got mine working..

 

So in the instructions it says copy contents of the "My Flash Drive" folder from SD card to the "My Flash Drive"

 

So what i was doing and it did not work, it was doing the same thing that is happing to you. I was copying the whole SD card into the My flash Drive. What you goto do is there should be another folder inside your SD card that says My Flash or something like that. Open that up copy all that to the Head units My Flash Drive.

After you press reset for 5 seconds, and it goes to the splash screen - how long should you have to wait the first time for it to boot up? I've waited a long time and it stays on the splash screen. I'm running a f700bt - any ideas?

Just did the update and mine looks the same but MUCH quicker with some nice new features! Worked perfectly the 1st time and so much easier than the other update methods on this forum. Thanks very much!

For the record, just completed this update with a modded 2.0 version software on an F90BT, and everything works great so far!

I was doing the update in my avic700bt and i think i did everything like i was supost to do it but after i hit the reset buttom for 5's my unis goes to the pioneer scremm for about 20's and then every thing goes black..... I dont know what to do next. I have read and done some of the sugestion on the forum but nothing seam to be working....

Scratch my comment from yesterday - I tried again and it worked just like the directions said. I realize now I had missed the step where you go into service mode. Pressing 3 buttons and reset all at once was a little tricky!

Many people have encountered this problem ... Make sure to copy all the files and folders inside the "My Flash Disk" of your SD drive to the inside of the "My Flash Disk" of your AVIC, in TestMode.
