dwhitley0381
I got a call yesterday from Pioneer that the update for the maps for the Z1 will be coming out soon but it was delayed do to other software MODS that they are working on. I asked what she meant she said she was not a programmer but that it would update the software side of the Z1 and not just maps. So I think they know how to lock us out and keep us out. Seeing that no one has been able to break the Z2 yet.... Anyway she said maybe August we will see the update... Sucks....
Agro
As with every other update/new product from Pioneer, we won't know till it is released. We can speculate all we want, but only time will tell.
dwhitley0381
you know a company the size of pioneer should do a better job supporting and updating its customers. They should want loyalty....
wmkizer
Looks like August is the release date for the upgrade disk. This is right from the website.... Â New disc CNDV-70MP arriving in August! Be notified when the new discs arrive by signing up on our waiting list. Â Just look in the "Upgrade Disks" section....

Lateralus
Do they charge for the update disc? Or will it be free for customers? Â Or do I have to hunt it down on the torrent sites when it comes out.
coocho
it WILL NOT be free. Also, I dont think a torrent will work this time, because supposedly (not confirmed) we all have to go to an authorized installer, and have them generate a code for us. Â It will be 200$ + installer fees
whtcrxghst
The CNDV70MP is the update disks for the N and D series, not the Z series  Looks like August is the release date for the upgrade disk. djmixmac
^^ Word... Â Â This delay is pretty concerning. Still, I'm not stoked about the upgrade. It will kill the current bypass anyway so I probably wont end up using it.

PaisanNYC
Wow I just checked out the link and yes Pioneer already has a web based system to unlock any future updates to prevent pirating! Â http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/content/suppo ... tware.html
whtcrxghst
See! Even I couldn't make that stuff up
PaisanNYC
I hope you won't need an installer to do this. It will be all self-install including the code via the website. Why should I have to pay an installer a shitload of money to push a disc into the slot and type a code number in?? Its bad enough discs are $250 a set!
