Like I said, you don't have to do any thing like copying files into folders... just put the folders and file from the zip onto your sd card as they are.

I don't know anything about the TTS files as I didn't use them, so you'll have to read the forums to figure that out.

lets hope flomsen dont delete this hole page in thisforum is there a way to save all these 700- 800 posts very usefull info here

hi thanx u saved me to

but in my alldata.htm file is also zero bytes, is this right

It isn't zero length on mine (2015 US/CAN). Not sure if it matters. Just a text file in html format.  Here's mine for the Z140:

<html><head><title> Navigation Data </title></head><body bgcolor="#ffffff" text="#000000"><pre>
[Navigation All Data Record]
Product         : T1000-23348
DataType        : All Data
BulidTime       : 2015/04/20   11:29:22
Release Version : 06.000000
</pre> </body> </html>

For the Z120 the Product tag and BuildTime are different:

<html><head><title> Navigation Data </title></head><body bgcolor="#ffffff" text="#000000"><pre>

[Navigation All Data Record]

Product : T1000-23346

DataType : All Data

BulidTime : 2015/04/16 17:45:29

Release Version : 06.000000

</pre> </body> </html>

Don't know what your's is. Probably only the Product tag is important.

AVIC-F840BT with some 2012 firmware updated to 2015.

I took the files and PW from post #336820 put on fresh SD-card,

card in navi,

turn on,

choose 'yes' to update,

waited approx. 20 minutes for the update to finish.

No further hacks needed, worked smooth - thank you clever guys in this forum. :)

Sounds easy, right? It was, when I finally succeeded, but I had to read like a million posts about different revisions of maps for different units, different versions of testmode, editing dll-files, cardinfo, verinfo and what not, it actually took me a full night until I figured it all out - and then it only took about 30 minutes, and voila! This forum is full of information, and it takes a good portion of patience to deduct the core of what you actually need.

Just to be sure :) ,

For my F930BT all i have to do is put the files from "2015_European_Map_Updat_for_Pioneer.zip" to a sd and put in in my F930BT?

No need to use supertestmode or something like that?

Do i have to make a backup before updating? and how can i do that?

Hi,

Just to be sure :) ,

For my F930BT all i have to do is put the files from "2015_European_Map_Updat_for_Pioneer.zip" to a sd and put in in my F930BT?

That was what I did on F840BT (FIRMWARE, UPDATE and CARDINFO.cif should be in the root of a fresh FAT32-formatted SD card).

According to this post it should also work with F930BT.

No need to use supertestmode or something like that?

Best guess: No. :)

Do i have to make a backup before updating? and how can i do that?

Sorry, I don't know about backup.. I didn't do it...

If you want to do so, I guess that you need to enter testmode in order to copy contents from the unit, but someone else might have a better answer for that.
