  1. I highly doubt it's a bad subwoofer output, and even if it was, they could have used the rear preout instead, or a line output converter. Switching brands won't change a thing either. What harness did they use? I can tell you what the subwoofer wires are, just tell me the year, make and model of your truck.
  2. You can change the color to whatever you want, but not the screen.
  3. lol, he claims to have a over a million dollars in inventory on order. Good luck with that, escpecially since this is where new buyers are directed to when researching it.
  4. I haven't had any complaints calling people.
  5. Just grounding the parking brake wire does work on the U310. Been a few weeks now for me, no issue.
  6. Yeah, you need the cd-iu50v cable.
  7. Did you try the very front page, first item? How about 2009 Raodshow, discussion on upcoming new nav units, with stickies?
  8. Oh, and there is zero boot time. The only time it has the boot screen is when you reset it.
  9. If you don't watch videos, the screen size makes no difference. All the text and controls are the same size. I like mine, and the detachable face is pretty nice if I happen to park in a open area. The volume knob is nice and large, much easier to use.
  10. Bring it back to the installer, and have them redo the install. Tell them you want the R/S to operate as it should, not just triggering the factory r/s. My guess is that they used a 1701g module, which were junk anyway.
  11. You are correct. It's activiating the factory R/S. Bring it back.
  12. Seriously, did you even look, use the search feature? The owner of this site has one, posted several times on it, answered alot of questions and even posted youtube videos. I don't own it, Pioneer gave me a chance to get a preview before it was released. I didn't say you owned. I understand that whole game, tax purposes and all. Still, it gets frusterating when people just sign up, and ask away without even looking, expecting others to do their research for them. This particular post was especially lame, since it all starts right on the front page of this site, when he claims he couldn't f
  13. If you have never owned a Kenwood, there is a frustration/learnig curve to them, not nearly as easy to use as the pioneers. they also have bugs, and updates also. Pioneer was just really slow at releasing updates, but seeing as they already have one for the x series is good to see. Expect to buy the 3.0 update if your going to a F series, which will basicaly makes the decks pretty musch the same. The control kob also looks much improved. The Z series is a sweat deck, basically the X series on steroids, with even more features. You may want to check that one out too.

  15. There are several posts on the mustang here. Did you try the Searc feature?
  16. Seems it would be easier to just get a new cable. Try not to smash the connector when sliding the radio into the dash with limited depth, and ensure it's not getting pinched routing the cable.
  17. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... ash+Models Have you guys seen this? 2.006 was just released.
  18. Compressing music over bluetooth with already compressed music? I'm just not seeing an advantage here over simply plugging in the cable. Am I missing something?
  19. A factory diversity radio switches back and forth between the two antennas, using the one with the strongest signal. This way it can companesate for vehicle position, and the waveforms of the signal. Ever wonder why you can get good reception on radio if you just move it a couple of feet? It's basically an wave, either intersecting with it, or it's going right over you. An aftermarket radio does not have these capabilities of analying two seperate antennas and deciding between the two.. Simply splicing the two together may even degrade the signal. Forst, there is roughly a 4db lose with each
  20. If you go with no module, you will lose any audible warnings, as well as onstar, and retained accessory power (you'll have to run your own accessory power). With alot of modules, they also give you VSS wire, illumination wire (dimming at night) and a parking brake wire. Just go with a module, it will make things much easier when installing. Some factory amplifiers will also not turn on unless a module is used. On the Ford mentioned above, no issues at all not using a module.
  21. Also keep in mind, some newer vehicles click through the factory speakers now, as well as a back up sensor running audible alerts through the stereo.
  22. The chime is related to the airbags, thats all. It's a warning system, just like the warning lights on the cluster. If the cluster fails, and there is an issue with the airbag system, the back up is the chimes, which will go off continually if there is an issue. Also, if the airbag light stays on in the cluster, it is also followed by a chime or two indicating a problem when the car first starts up. Scosche obviously will not tell you it's ok to lose a warning system, for legal issues. Get what I'm saying here?
