I've done business with Crutchfield for 20 years and they have always had top notch customer service.

How many referrals are allowed You may refer no more than 2 new customers within any 30-day period, and no more than 10 customers in any given calendar year, without prior express written authorization from Crutchfield. If you exceed these limits without authorization, neither you nor the new customer may receive the Crutchfield credits.

Add me to the list of converts to the Kenwood DNX7100. One reason I decided to go with the Kenwood is that Pioneer is now toying with Z1 owners that have bypassed their units. If the Z1 owners update their units the bypass no longer works. I didn't want to possibly face the same issue with the D3 down the road. It may never have happened, but I didn't want to take the chance.

Pioneer has posted download links to the manuals for the AVIC-D3 on this page: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v ... 80,00.html Unfortunately it appears they are pulling maintenance on the site, so I can't log in to download them.

I think Crutchfield was waiting for the 15% discount coupon to expire!

It might also mean that the 15% discount code has expired.

You can email Crutchfield at solutions@crutchfield.com and ask about the D3. A sales rep replied in an email with a link for me that had a D3 in my "cart". I did the same thing Mannyman did and ordered both the XM and Sirius receivers to get the 15% discount. I will probably sell the Sirius receiver. Worked for me! I was holding out for more info on the Kenwood DNX7100, but decided to go ahead and buy the D3.

One big difference is that Eclipse does not support XM Radio. Also, the 5500 is being replaced by the 5510 (which is already on Crutchfield's site).
