I presume your voice control doesn't work outside of the phone either, correct? "Change source to FM" or whatever should also fail if it's the microphone. I had a similar problem - was a bad microphone. I got a replacement from my dealer.

OK I removed the 3D lines from the sys.txt, that fixed the issue with the icon. Woohoo. One other thing.......does anyone else have a problem with the "tilt" feature on the 3D screen after doing this mod? Mine doesn't seem to respond at all.

Hello - I am still seeing the script error noted above with the most recent data.zip. Everything else seems to work fine, but when I touch the bottom left icon by the street address is when I get the error. Also, oddly, I have neither an arrow or a truck in 3D mode for Nav. I have a teeny tiny dot, barely noticeable. I searched and confirmed daycar.bmp and nightcar.bmp were OK - they are - not sure if there is something else to review for 3D. This is something I have never messed with. If I switch back to my old data.zip, the arrows come back. I *think* I just need to edit sys.tx

I had the same problem. Every time I tried to sync my contacts as new (even though they were supposedly erased from the F90), they would double. Then triple. I had 5 copies before I figured out what was happening. The best fix is to edit the file as Valkur notes. I have a LOT of contacts, but some are old and not too important. I now have a limited number on the Pioneer and it works great. Took me about 30-45minutes to clean up the file and make it perfect. I also edited the ID's so my most important contacts are at the TOP of my lists so they are the first things I see when I

Just wanted to toss out that the 2.9 fix worked for me. After the 3.3 update both my inbound and outbound calls would stay connected (I could tell by watching the phone itself), but neither party could hear each other making the bluetooth funtionality basically worthless. The key beeps generally don't bother me, but the one that drives me nuts are the beeps that go along with the volume control. If I use the knob on the unit there are no sounds obviously, but if I control the volume using steering wheel controls I get beeps for every level up/down. I've seen the mods to eliminate the key beeps entirely, but I just want to remove those that correspond to the steering wheel controls. Can this be done? For what it's worth, I'm using the Peripheral PESWIPS adapter to a 06 Tundra.

Yes, I think MSN Direct is worth it. The first day I had the unit installed, I saved 30 cents per gallon on gas by driving 2 miles out of my way. I have a V8 Tundra, and this is definitely important to me. I take 30 seconds to use this service every time I get gas. I am still on the 3months free subscription, but I definitely plan to pay for it when it expires. I think it will end up paying for itself.

JasonH is correct, but that does delete ALL the contacts. If you want to only remove a few from the Nav and keep them on the phone, you'll have to edit the phonebook file (or delete from phone, sync, add back to phone). Do a search for SQL Editor on the forum.

My wife's LG Chocolate works great, and my Motorola Maxx VE works fine. I should note I had to have Verizon upgrade the software on the Maxx before the voice recognition would work, but basic calls were fine all along.

Minor update here, in case someone else has the same Motorola Maxx VE phone. I took my phone to Verizon, and had them update the software on the phone - mine was almost a year old, and was a good bit out of date. It works. Now the voice recognition works fine with the phone - no issues. Woohoo!

Does the affect the function of the compass button at all? I presume this is the directional arrow you are changing. I guess what I'm asking, is does the compass still work, but this just adds touch-button code behind it to cancel the nav voice? Sorry if that question should have been obvious.
