  1. You realize the HD1BT is a European model and you're asking for help on a U.S. site, correct?
  2. Good on ya for setting the security code, Rocky! That will indeed get the a s s hole in trouble when he sells it for $200 to one of his druggie friends and then they find out it's unusable without the security password, which the seller won't have! Good reminder to all of us to use that feature! Best of luck in replacing it and in repairing the damage they did to that dash.
  3. Probably not a failure of the antenna itself - where's the antenna installed? Top of it must be facing up, and preferably mounted on a flat metal surface. If it's under or behind the dash, make sure no metal is between the top of the antenna and the windshield. Also check to make sure the plug is seated firmly in the connector on the back of the unit.
  4. If you're talking about the just-released AVIC Feeds app, that has nothing to do with Bluetooth connectivity. The AVIC Feeds app allows you to set a destination on your iPhone, then it converts that location within the app into a contact that transfers over to your AVIC unit with all the other contacts next time you start your vehicle - then you just find that contact, open it, and set it as your new destination. I've had this app a long time; it finally works for me after the update yesterday - see this thread: http://avic411.com/i...ate-for-iphone/
  5. I noticed this evening that an update for this app was pushed to my iPhone 4 - after it installed, I opened the app, dropped a pin and saved that location within the app; a process that formerly caused the app to crash. Now, however, it actually saved it in the app and immediately created a new contact! That should sync over to my X920 next time I start it, and thus I should be able to choose that contact on the X920 and set a route to it. Haven't tried that yet to confirm, but I'm cautiously optimistic that Pioneer has finally fixed this buggy app! **Update** - it works!! Really nice
  6. I panicked a little 'cause I was no longer seeing video on my 920 when using the Slingbox app after I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 - but I just went to AV Settings and changed AV1 input to Video, and Wide Mode to Zoom; then hit AV1 (instead of iPod) in Mode settings - voila, Slingbox video and audio work perfectly again.
  7. I just installed the traffic tuner; the updates are really slow to post on my nav screen. I presume this is because each time you start up the unit, the traffic tuner must first find and connect to a local FM station that's broadcasting the data, then it must accumulate the data before it's able to display it. Anybody tried connecting power to the traffic tuner to a constant 12v source? I'm thinking that in an always-on state the tuner would be constantly receiving a stream of traffic data, and it would therefore always be current as soon as you turn on your car and begin driving.
  8. X920 doesn't have a reset button on it - I should have said to "restore factory settings": Go to System Settings--->Restore Factory Settings--->Yes. After doing that and disconnecting the battery cable (which you've already tried), if everything but BT works I don't see how it can be anything but a failed BT chip in your unit.
  9. Have you tried a hard reset of the unit? If BT still doesn't work after that, that points to a problem with the unit itself and I don't see how purchasing/installing the upgrade will cause it to work. Hopefully it's still under warranty and you can send it back to Pioneer for repair (or a new one).
  10. I just installed the CNSD-210FM map and GUI update on my X920BT. I don't have the traffic tuner so I can't comment on that, but Aha Radio does work on mine via cable connection with my iPhone 4 running iOS 4.3.5. I did the BT firmware update also; so far I don't notice anything different with the new 3.22 BT firmware versus 3.11 that I was running.
  11. See the first post in this thread - I can open the app and drop a pin on a location on the map, but when I hit Save the app crashes. It also crashes if I simply hit List within the app. I've never been able to use this app on my X920BT.
  12. I couldn't care less what the Sirius/XM talk show hosts do while they're sitting in a room for their shift, 'cause I don't listen to the talk channels on XM - only the music ones, which I was promised as an early subscriber would be commercial-free. (See also: http://radio.about.com/od/xmsatelliteradio/a/aa061206a.htm; http://www.orbitcast.com/archives/commercialfree-lawsuit-against-xm-allowed-to-proceed.html; http://kenlevine.blogspot.com/2010/04/sirius-xm-seriously-sucks.html.) I simply prefer Slacker over Sirius/XM because it suits my preferences far cheaper than Sirius/XM does. Thank
  13. Excellent news on the streaming of artist, track, and album info! Doesn't surprise me you're not seeing album art via BT - I believe that requires a lot of data; more than can be easily transmitted via BT. Thsnks for confirming that the streaming works! I can't imagine why the button beeps and nav sounds aren't coming through if those options are on in the settings, Junkhead. My suggestion would be to do a system reset - that seems to have solved others' random problems with these units.
  14. You can stream music via BT to the X920 now - it just doesn't include artist, album, and track info. I listen to Slacker all the time via BT, it sounds extremely good; it's far cheaper than XM/Sirius; and, unlike XM/Sirius, no commercials if you get the premium service. I can actually change volume and advance to the next song using my steering wheel controls, also. I'm just really looking forward to seeing artist, album, etc. on the head unit. Definitely try out the BT streaming after you get your 930 deck installed and report back!
  15. Yes; let us know if it streams artist; track; etc. Junkhead! I won't lose hope if it doesn't, since you won't have the iOS 5 final release - they always tweak the features between beta and final releases.
  16. First the bad news: AVIC Feeds update for iPhone is now available in the App Store - says it now supports iPhone 4 and iOS 4; but I just updated it on my iPhone 4 and the app *still* crashes when I try to save a pin location or just hit "List" within the app!! Very frustrating. Now the good news (for iPhone owners) - iOS 5 is supposed to include an update to enable support for AVRCP 1.3 BT devices - which the is the AVRCP version our 920BTs are equipped with! So, after iOS 5 is released (probably in the fall), you should be able to stream Pandora; Slacker; etc. via BT and see artist, al
  17. I have the same problem with my 3GS and X920 as the OP - no Netflix video when I open the app exactly as shown in the video posted above. Can hear the audio, but no video on the 920. Is the phone used to demonstrate watching a Netflix video a 4G, or perhaps jailbroken?
  18. Or you could get the X920BT and iPod cable at Amazon.com for $535.00 after rebate with free shipping - read this thread: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=33112
  19. I thought I was having trouble with mine, too - tried to change splash screens on my X920BT to one on a micro-SD card, but it wouldn't recognize the card. Finally got it to do so by going into Settings-->Splash Screen first, then inserting the card and pushing on it pretty good - then the grayed-out "SD Card" on the lower right part of the screen lit up and I was able to update the flash screen. I used a standard (non-HD) micro SD card for this. You might just try pushing on it a little harder; contacts might be just a little out of alignment.
  20. It works - I added the Pioneer CD-IU50V cable and it applied the additional discount! The X920BT and Pioneer cable for $635.05; $535.05 after the $100 Pioneer rebate - can't beat that! Excellent work, todd612!
  21. Sorry to be a pest, but how do you get the other 10% discount?
  22. So what's the coupon code, if you don't mind me asking?
  23. Change the contacts on your phone to list both first and last names in the last name field (first name first); leaving the first name field blank on each contact. Worked with my iPhone 3GS and X920BT. (This tip is thanks to another member on this forum whose user name I don't recall.)
  24. Had this issue with my iPhone 3GS running IOS 4 and X920; thanks to someone else's tip on this forum (don't remember who) I redid the contacts on my iPhone and put both first and last names in the last name field (first name first) of my phone - works like a charm; now my X920 shows all my contacts in first name order. This would probably work with your Pre as well.
  25. Now you can get the X920 from al-eds for $650 after coupon code and mail in rebate: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=32275&start=15
