  1. I have the same phone and AVIC unit, hoonu. I was finally able to transfer my contacts by manually disconnecting the phone (on the "phone settings" screen), then I transferred each one manually from the Q9C via Bluetooth (Contacts-->choose a contact-->Menu-->"send via Bluetooth"). After doing this, manually reconnect your phone on the F90BT then go through the contact transfer steps again - it will magically load them into the F90 at that time. (I know; makes no sense to have to disconnect your phone in order to transfer the contacts, but that's the only way I could get it to work.)
  2. I've emailed Parrot, the manufacturer of the Bluetooth device in the AVIC-F90BT, about the problems I'm having with it - I figure it might be good to put some pressure on their end as well as Pioneer's. Here's the link if you want to email Parrot direct: http://www.parrotoem.com/en/contact
  3. You have to power up the unit in order to retrieve the MSN Direct activation code, as it's contained within the software itself. (From the top menu, hit "Routing", then "MSN Direct" in the bottom right corner.) Once you get the code, you get three months free service. At the time you activate it online, however, there's also an option to get an additional 6 months for $9.95 - I got that.
  4. Great - and thanks for the fast response!
  5. My F90BT is supposed to arrive from al-eds tomorrow - have all the units just shipped by al-eds had the updates applied to them or do we have to do that ourselves upon receipt?
  6. We much appreciate the info. Just to confirm - will all F-units shipped out from al-eds to fulfill orders on hold have the software and firmware updates completed before shipping?
  7. Take option 2; sell the new-in-the-box F900 on Fleabay; buy a new D3 from an authorized dealer, and then party with the 300 bucks you'll have left over.
  8. Check this thread, three below the one you posted in: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15663
  9. I've got an F90BT on order; I've also got an old Parrot CK3100 on hand - I'll see if the mic from the Parrot unit will fit the input on the F90. If so, I'll compare the two and report here.
  10. Props to diegosilang for arranging this deal, and to al-eds for hooking up the AVIC411 community! Ordered an F90BT from al-eds tonight.
  11. I agree; I thought the F90BT unit featured in Jason's video looked great. Just a thought - I wonder if Mikeinnj's vehicle has DRLs and he wired illumination wire into that circuit - thus the unit thinks the headlights are on in daytime?
  12. Very informative videos, Jason! Thanks for taking time to make and post them. Am I seeing correctly that when in 3D mode the nav automatically zooms in when approaching a turn, then zooms back out after completing it?
  13. Jason - That GPS input on the rear looks different from the one on the D3 - does the F90 use a different GPS connector? And kudos to Pioneer for finally spelling "Dialed" correctly on the F90.
  14. I've got the same phone paired with my AVIC-D3, XUVoy. Took me a while to figure out how to transfer the contacts, because it won't send all of them to the D3. If I remember correctly, you have to set up both the Q9c and D3 like you're going to transfer all at once, then you'll see the D3 disconnect; then you can transfer them one at a time from the Q9c via Bluetooth. And voice dialing works with my Q9c, but I can't hear the voice prompts - can you hear them with your setup?
  15. Ford changed to a data-generated VSS signal in later model cars, Paul - perhaps you need one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-200 ... 0228909185
  16. Don't have an Edge or I'd help you out, Paul.
  17. Got my $200 rebate check today; purchased online in mid-February from abtelectronics.com (I'm in a different state from them). Brought my net cost of the AVIC-D3X package down to $597.00 - sweet deal.
  18. Not hard at all, chris - I have the same truck, and just installed the AVIC D3 with Bluetooth, Ipod cable, and PAC SWI-PS interface in mine. Here's a link to a helpful thread on the PAC install: http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/foru ... ight=wheel Remember that thread is for the SWI-ALP, your SWI-PS is actually easier since it plugs right into the back of the D3 (don't have to mess with infrared like on the ALP). Do a search in the Mobile Electronics forum of the ridgelineownersclub.com site and you'll find threads on installing the AVIC-D3 also. I have the base Ridgeline RT; I even
  19. You can turn on continuous display of your current lat/lon: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13504
  20. Pretty much. I went through the password set up steps on the other screen; while doing that I figured that the Pioneer software people wouldn't have put that much time and effort into programming that touch sequence for just one screen/option - so I tried it on every other screen. The lon/lat toggle is the only other Easter egg I found using that sequence, though.

  22. Don't know why anyone would need this, and your current coordinates are also available under the "Emergency Info" option while in Nav mode; but I just discovered this: 1.) While in Nav mode, hit Settings-->Map Display Options. 2.) Touch upper left corner of screen, then touch upper middle portion of screen, then touch and hold upper right corner of screen. You'll now see a message pop up: "Lon Lat disp flag: off". This sequence of touches toggles the constant display of longtitude/latitude coordinates on the map display. If you've turned them on by using these commands, just
  23. That's a broad statement - my rebate form says "Offer valid from purchases made from an authorized Pioneer or Pioneer Premier Dealer in the United States...". It officially excludes several dealers, none of which is the one I bought mine from, which is an authorized Pioneer dealer (in another state). What do you have from Pioneer that states they won't honor my rebate?
  24. Yes, there is. Your owner's manual does such a better job of explaining how to do so than I ever could. There's lots of other good stuff in there, too - check it out.
