Newman
is the sound issue on every source or just the ipod or something? my unit froze one day and after I restarted my AV1 input randomly changed itself back to "None" so I wasnt getting any audio from my iPod. i had to go back and change the AV1 setting to IPod. it doesnt sound like you are having the same problem but I thought it couldnt hurt to mention it just in case. HiFiSi
Here's a little test to eliminate 1 possibility... do you have audio when using the AM/FM radio and not when using any other audio source?
nyrescue
No audio anywhere...not even menu beeping... comes and goes.

skicrave
Take the car to someone that knows what they're doing, or give us more information.
nyrescue
Well pretty much when I start my car its hit or miss with the sound coming on. All is installed per direction...I have never had a problem before with installs. When the sound goes out I have to turn off the car and try to start again to see if it kicks back on. nyrescue
Anyone??
lava10t2
Anyone?? Did you do the install yourself or have someone install it? I'd take it to a car audio shop and have them look at it, but the first thing you could do is test the harness with a volt meter.
terron
Need more information Do you have the speakers wired to an amp or are they wired into the HU? Have you put a voltmeter on the remote wire going to the amp (if you have one)?
xplosion79
I'm now having this problem. I haven't really had any problems with my unit since I bought it 2 months ago and now all of a sudden the sound cuts out once the unit warms up. After about 30 minutes of driving the sound goes out usually until I shut the car off and on. Whats the manufacturers warranty on these things anyway? It's an f90bt. gallois
I am also having this problem. My iPod will come on - but no key beeps and I can't use sound via bluetooth. The problem is when the system boots up you get no system sound. So no key beeps, no nav sounds, no bluetooth. AV output seems to still work. I have iPod and radio ok. I'm thinking it might be to do with the BT upgrade. I think I'm going to downgrade the BT to 2.9 to see if I have the same problem
risestar
i had a no sound problem with a D3, turned out to be a aftermarket speaker wire grounding out on the car body, which caused the unit to disable the internal amp. If you have replaced speakers, check the connections and insulate them against the body to make sure
superjet
If the is something wrong on the speakers wires, or just one, the internal amp will shut off to protect itself. Please post year, make and model of vehicle, what speakers are in there, and if there is a amplifier in the vehicle, wether it be stock or aftermarket.
