  1. Right on....so somewhere like Minneapols...would that "rate" high enuff for you...so I'm telling you as you wanted to hear..it worked fine for myself. Notice I speak for myself, you speak for everyone...funny how that happens. Stop whining ..sell the unit and move on or back or wherever you'll feel good about yourself.
  2. The maps work great on my 8000, but then I did research before purchasing the unit. The maps have got me everywhere I needed to go.
  3. Love iGo Nav on my 8000, does everything I need it to do.
  4. When you added the "It happened after I installed a mono Soundqubed amplifier."..........did you connect the rca's with the HU powered on...aka hot swap? http://www.hondacivicforum.com/forum/audio-visual-electronics-10/pioneer-headunit-pico-fuse-fix-*56k*-75438/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/44297-howto-properly-fix-your-pioneers-rca-ground/?hl=fuse
  5. AGAIN your not reading wtf...I put a link and the info Using the built in file manager-> Linux Root-->extdata-->iGO http://www.gpspower.net/igo-tutorials/304319-where-put-igo-different-files.html figure it out
  6. You guys have to read, that means the entire thread.....I never knew how to do this other than simple copy/paste...I had to read all the info..all the mistakes and tidbits and pitfalls people went through. Most people wont hand feed when the info is in the thread...I had to read and now I have to find the info for YOU...cmon...STOP BEING LAZY. Everytime I check this thread someone wants a handout...read...then read it again..read other threads so you get the info..slang....lingo...technical terms people are using. The first spoiler has the file....pick the correct one for your applica
  7. Other than any of the tips in this thread I highly doubt anyone is gonna help on your issue, Pioneer service center is gonna be your best bet.
  8. The testmode key is in the folder, you must have looked inside.
  9. Make sure you grab the correct patch for your unit, mine was the 8000.
  10. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/81468-the-avic-development-mod/?p=337784 That is the patch script, the testmode key is what puts you into a position or allows you into the mode to apply the patch script. You can apply the patch, then copy the new maps and lyc to the correct folders. I put it all on the same usb so I wouldnt have to keep going in and out of the house...I could have brought the laptop outside.
  11. I believe what he's suggesting is you disassemble the unit, remove the internal sd card( not the card you insert from behind the face) either reflash a stock image on that sd card or buy a replacement...reflash/write the stock image and reinsert and reassemble.
  12. Take the x100_1.05_9.18.28.610130 folder and put your Update file with the content folder with the diff folders( Put the Lic folder at same level as content.) on the usb key in usb1. The test key in the patch script(no need to apply the patch again) will get you in, then dig down file maint/root/exdata/igo. I copied my content and lic file off the unit to the usb1. Then I deleted them off the unit. Then I copied the Q3 content and lic file from the usb1 to the unit.
  13. With all the time you have spent asking this same question you would have had it done by now.
  14. Im guessing the next thing you did was factory reset the unit and what was the result?
  15. Thats the holy grail.....doesn't appear to be yet.
  16. Do you have the sub enabled (turned on) on the unit?
  17. Do you have the issue with the engine off?
  18. Other than pluging in for power aka recharge I like being cable free. Next will be a wireless charging pad.
  19. 8000.....S6 rooted, ARUnchained , Screenbeam Mini2 by Actiontec.....works fine.
  20. I never had any problems with my 8000 and the past 2 updates, or Map updates, or Bluetooth updates. Factory Reset the unit and see what happens. You could have a bad GPS ant...who knows the ant wiring if fragile enough if its been pinched.
  21. Plug the power cable into the rear usb port thats not being used.
  22. Well my 8000 with a 128gb ssd doesnt take 5 mins to play. Perhaps after loading the ssd it will take mins to index.
  23. Happy New Yr from Canada
