I updated my 7000 from 1.08 to 1.10 two weeks ago. I updated again from 1.10 to 1.11 last week when the new update came out. I also installed the BT update that came with it. No issues so far.

I installed it yesterday on my 7000 with no problems so far. After the install I only had a minute or 2 to connect to the AVICSYNC app and play with it, so I don't have enough info to leave a useful comment yet. Looking forward to trying it out tonight.

Instead of re-routing the cables between your center console and glove box, pull the unit and switch the USB1 & USB2 cables on the back.

I couldn't see album art in Car Play before 8.3, and still can't see it with 8.3. If I turn up contrast & brightness enough to see the album art, even a little bit, the icons/buttons on the main CarPlay screen become totally washed out. Maybe someday they'll get it sorted out...

I believe they're the house or business numbers you'd see as you drive down the road - although they're not at all accurate the couple times I've used the nav screen.

It is available on the Z110 - I've used it on mine. You are correct, it's one of the map display options with 2D, 3D, etc. The rear view is 2/3 of the screen and the map is the other 1/3.

I'm encouraged by this. Any update to the navigation should be an improvement - the Z110/120/130 have the worst navigation I've ever used.

I asked the same question and was told that I can update my Z110 directly to the Z130. I'm still waiting for the 130 map update to be released so I can verify.

As far as reporting the errors to Tele Atlas, I wouldn't hold my breath that they'll correct it in a timely manner. A little more than a year ago I went to their website to report some errors (like you, my neighborhood is about 6 years old and my entire street doesn't exist on their map). I just checked their map and it still can't find my address. I went back to check the error reporting status and it still shows the same thing it showed a year ago - that they're working on it but the work hasn't been completed. Frustrating!

The units still need a complete Nav revision, but I'm quite happy to finally hear this! Since I haven't updated my Z110 to the Z120 software yet, would it be possible to update directly to the Z130, or do you have to first update to Z120 and then to Z130?

Not sure if it will 'integrate' with nav on the new system or not, but I played with Aha traffic on my phone on the way home last night and you are correct, it's just someone reading traffic information, as if they were reading directly off a state Department of Transportation website. I've been playing with Aha on my phone this afternoon and some of the features are cool, but I don't think the traffic feature will be as helpful as a true 'traffic' overlay feature on the map that will re-route you to avoid heavy traffic. I'm interested to play with it in rush hour traffic tonight and tomorrow morning. This may have been beaten to death already, but does anyone know WHY they disabled the original geotagging feature, or if it will ever be enabled again? You're right, the newer 'dumbed down' feature is pretty much uselss. I'v had the same complaint since I switched from an older Kenwood to the Z110. All in all I think the Z110 is a great unit, but I agree that if a 3" screen on a handheld Nav or a cell phone can clearly display every street name (and much more accurately in the area I live), I'm at a loss as to why an in-dash unit with a 7" screen only shows a few street names. I still love the Z110, and like what I see with the Z120 upgrade, but I hope future upgrades focus on the Nav.

I'm on my way out of town right now, but will hopefully be buying the upgrade in the next few days. My wife is even more excited than I am after watching the demo videos (she's a Pandora nut)! We'll see how the install/update goes, and like mrt2, will also post whatever info you guys need.

I got e-mail confirmation message from TeleAtlas a few hours after I submitted two errors to them. They sent me a link to a status page that acknowledged that they received my error report, they see the problems, and are working on it. They also mentioned: Tele Atlas makes updates to its maps every day, but it takes time for those changes to show up in our partners' products. Once the Map Insight Status Page indicates that your issue has been addressed at Tele Atlas, please contact your application provider to learn when the update will be available for your device or application.

Awesome! I just submitted a couple errors to them, and have a couple more to send. I agree with you VBLUE42 - No system is perfect, but I think the Pioneer comes very close in almost every way. Overall I like it more than my last unit (Kenwood DNX8120), and I loved that unit. My frustration comes from spending $1000 on a flagship unit that is superior to most all-in-one units out there, but for some reason the nav portion feels outclassed by even cheap hand-held nav units. I'm not so concerned about an upgraded audio interface, and I already stream Pandora from my iPhone. I have no idea what the Music Sphere thing will be and am sure that I will NEVER use the Eco feature. I switched phones to an iPhone at the same time I had my Z110 installed (previous unit was a Kenwood). The mic is directly in front of me on the steering column - my previous one was on the overhead above the rearview mirror. Both locations worked well, but my wife said when I call her now the calls sounds clearer. Not sure if it's the new phone, new headunit, new mic, mic placement... Good luck with the Parrott mic. After re-reading this post, I bet that's what happened. After getting it to work successfully one time, my iphone did the app update (actuallly a downgrade), so it now works as described above, which is disappointing. If it worked perfectly, why would they release an update removes a lot of the functionality? Hopefully a future update will make it work as it originally did.

That's the part I can't figure out - I took about a dozen photos with my iphone last week and never moved them anywhere. They're all in the roll. I asked a friend in Idaho to take a photo with his iphone and text it to me to see if Avic Feeds could find the photos location. I saved the photo from the text into my roll but Avic Feeds doesn't see any photos at all on my phone. The weird thing is that it worked perfect the first time I used it, but never again. I can take a photo through Avic Feeds and it works fine, but not if I use the phone's camera.

It worked one time and won't work again. I opened Avic Feeds on my iPhone and press the photo button on the bottom of the screen, but it doesn't see any of the photos in my phone. I got it to work one time a few days ago when I first downloaded the app, and it worked perfectly. I opened the contact in the Z110 and a map of the intersection in Las Vegas popped up where I took the photo last week. Very cool! Today I tried to use it again with no luck. I wanted to test another photo from last week and a photo that another iPhone user e-mailed me today, but it doesn't find any of the photo

I love this new unit, so this is not a Pioneer vs. Kenwood pissing match. But I have to agree that not having cross streets labeled seems like a huge oversight. My previous unit was a Kenwood DNX8120, and while everything about the Pioneer unit "looks" nicer and more modern, the Garmin maps in the older Kenwood were more detailed and the displayed info was much more helpful (especially while driving without route guidance). Not having the next cross street name displayed doesn't seem like a big deal if you've never used it, but it can be a very helpful feature. Here's an example:

Eight week turnaround. I mailed my rebate form on January 7 and got my check on March 5. It's stupid that the check is basically a postcard, and not inside an envelope. Everyone can see that it's a $200 check with a signature block on the back. I won't be surprised if some get stolen out of the mail and forged.
