  1. Try to separate them, at least 6 inches apart to see if it fixes your problem.
  2. I can burn 10 sets on DVD and mail out to people if you want to go that way.
  3. Remove 2-second gaps between songs when burning the CD.
  4. CD-R MP3 will work. But you can't bring them in the Z that way. Ripping from an audio CD is the only way now. Have fun.
  5. Oh can somebody confirm if the drive is locked from the manufactory? Thanks, H
  6. Hi guys, For some reason, all of my incomming calls in Z1 show up as unknown without any number while they show up on my cell phone. I remembered it wasn't like that. Anyone has the same problem? My phone is Verizon V3, my Z1 dated Dec, 06. Thanks, H
  7. I think you only need to have a secondary ide channel if you want to unlock a stock drive. If you want to just disable a password for a new drive, you can do that on any IDE channel. Will it work with an USB enclosure? Another question is that when you buy a brand new AVIC-Z#, is the drive already locked? Or is it only locked upon power on?
  8. Can I buy a new drive and somebody with a PC with secondary IDE disable the password for me? I can pay for all the shipping and stuff. Thanks,
  9. If you really need the bypass, go with Z1. If you want a better map, go with Z2 and wait for the bypass (who knows when)
  10. between 15' to 20' for a full audio CD
  11. Why not DIY? I live in Silver Spring, MD. I may help if you have questions. I got Z1 in 02 Camry.
  12. Right now... no. You need a PC with a secondary IDE cable and connect the drive as a master. Then you use the program specified to unlock the drive and save the data. That's the only SAFE way we know to unlock the drive and not destroy the data. But if you only want to transfer music, unless you are a genius at software reverse engineering, don't bother. You need to create AT3 files for upload to the drive and reverse engineer the play list file that is created for each album which is created. Without both you get no music that will play. We were never able to crack the play list
  13. I have an external enclosure with USB connector.
  14. The problem is that in the instructions on "How do I disable the lock on my HDD?", it says "... Connect your HDD to your PC using the IDE adapter (not USB). Connect it to the secondary IDE channel....", and I don't have a computer with IDE adapter. Is there any work around for this problem? Thanks, M
  15. Hi guys, I like to work on how to get music into Z2 without burning music CDs. Can somebody please provide an entire image of the Z2 so I can play with? Thanks, M
  16. I don't think that there's a way. I wish I could have it too.
  17. Yeah I was just about to ask when Israel moved to Europe.
  18. They are just like night and day. Here are a few: -Better LCD in Z1 -Faster NAV in Z1 thanks for the built-in HDD -Bigger screen -10GB to store your music -Bluetooth in Z1 -Voice command in Z1 -Made in Japan for Z1 -Play DVD video in Z1 Is that enough for you to make decision?
