  1. Can someone post the wiring diagram for this ride? Planning on installing a sub. Thx.
  2. Curious if the 920's VSS wire actually captures pulses? A year ago I had the 910 and then upgraded to Z110 in the same vehicle using the same wiring.. The 910 did not capture VSS. The Z110 did and the nav was quicker to locate my location and also more accurate. Thx!
  3. Also verify they connected the reverse wire even if you do not connect a camera. The GPS uses it to maintain better accuracy.
  4. I can't answer your questions, but I doubt it'll all be plug and play. Anyway, if you're selling your D3, I'm in the market. PM me.
  5. It's my understanding that the technological differences stem from Apple switching from the firewire/usb charging standard to strictly USB affecting many older 3rd party charging systems utilizing only firewire. I imagine this is the case for the D3 and it using the firewire charging standard. I've also read elsewhere, perhaps on this forum that some folks were able to alter their iPod cable's pinout wiring to divert power from the firewire pinouts to the USB pinouts to correct. I'm curious whether anyone attempted this endeavor with a D3?
  6. Is there a workaround to get an iPhone to charge whenever connected to a D3. My old 3rd gen iPod nano charges fine, but not the 3GS. thx. Mark
  7. Downgrading via changing language works like a charm. My 09 disks were faulty and I'm back to 08. After changing to a different language keep hitting the eject button to get the old disc out then insert your correct disc.
  8. Can someone seed the mininova torrent? I d'l an earlier version and it's somewhat corrupt. My zoom icons are grayed out and some of the graphics are screwy. Thx.
  9. 1) No 2) ? 3) I thought it's 3.01. Are you looking at the right firmware? 4) I think it's normal 5) ?
  10. From my experience the VSS wire on the F/X series is not activated. Connecting it does nothing.

    Best price??

Yup. I got it. Great seller. Tracking # 24hrs after payment.
  12. Power connector, gps, mic are the same. RCA harness is different.
  13. I don't want to rerun the antenna as it's located outside the vehicle. I did notice different part #s for the 2 models on Pioneer's parts website. The owner's manual spec sheet does not differentiate, then again it isn't very informative. thx.
  14. I just listed my X910bt for sale in the classifieds $700 shipped w/ genuine ipod cable
  15. Since the VSS wire doesn't really do anything on the F/X series, I mounted mine outside. If the VSS was functional, I'd be more inclined to mount it under the dash. Most car manufactures have their GPS antenna mounted under the dash, but have a valid VSS to pick up any slack.

    Best price??

Just purchased mine from ebay seller dis_sound for $1153 primarily due to their warranty. 1yr replacement. This is better than an authorized dealer since you're getting a direct swap for a new unit, instead of sending it out for repair.

Sounds like a good deal!! Can you share the eBay seller info?

    Best price??

I'm seeing ebay as having the best price of 1150 shipped. Thinking of ordering this weekend. Any better deals out there?
  19. Hey guys, Just wondering if there's a vss on this unit as well as does it work? Meaning will the vehicle cursor move if the gps antenna is disconnected. My x910 has a vss however I don't think the avic software supports it. It doesn't work. Thinking of upgrading to the Z series. I also like the feature of syncing your iphone gps destination to the z series. thx.
  20. Silly questions: Will this work with Avic X series? My maps are 2008.10 Also, what are the specific instructions to get them downloaded onto my unit? Thx!!
  21. Good to know. I gave up on voice commands, but will give this a try.
  22. I had no problems updating to 3.0101 oh and I had the hardwire bypass in place during the update. I followed the directions on pioneers website and it took about 20 minutes. The only thing that the instructions missed was to remove the SD card at the end and replace w/ the dummy card.
