  1. "I don't think you'll get many paying customers once they realize there's a self-destruct switch that might go off if there ever is a glitch. " There isn't enough demand for $50
  2. Exactly why I am passing. Seems like free and donations is a better plan
  3. I think we all know the answer to that question
  4. I was able to update the RenewalIFLib.dll but I cannot get the z140 update to start. I have unzipped the file and it put the Z140 update folder on the root and that didn't work. Next I tried putting the Update, Firmware, and LT folders on the root along with the cardinfo.cif file. Neither one seems to take off and start the install.
  5. so why do we have two different downloads for say the 920 and 930....this adds a layer of confusion. I have a 920 but I did take a software update last year for the 930 features....which do I get?

    2012 Maps

LOL VBlue.....imagine how pissed I would have been with that

    2012 Maps

I'd probably do it for 60 but I do agree 120 is too high

    2012 Maps

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Accessories/Map-Upgrades/CNSD-350FM it says x910 but I figured it would work with the 920 and 930 models so I called.....they confirmed it. So who is going to buy them?
  9. I am going to disagree with VBlue completely. I have a Rand McNally Nav system I used to keep in the glove box and the Pioneer is better than that (slightly). To be honest I would stay with the 910 you won't see much of an upgrade unless your maps are way out of date on the 910. I am not going to go through the hassle of looking to see if there are updated maps for the 910. If you get the 940 you will realize that the nav system is fine if you have an iPhone and use it to punch in your destinations. Avic Feeds is the only reason I probably still have my 920. It makes the nav tolerable.
  10. I saw the appradio is selling for 199 now ....is it worth the purchase?
  11. I felt Aha was a waste of time. Iheartradio would be a better choice
  12. Hey Vblue this is probably an old question but hardware wise I have the 920...any reason to go with the 940 or better yet any reason not to go with the 910? I believe the 910 is hackable....right?
  13. there was another post that had updated images....I have them all updated....at this point I am only short the clear channel ones and Opie and Anthony channel since it just changed like 3 weeks ago
  14. I tried and tried to find a better (cheaper) solution then the proclip options. No way around it they are the best. The thought of spending over $100 for a mount is pathetic when you think about it but the universal stuff is just garbage.
  15. I have solved all of this with my unit....I should have made a video of what I did. I have a WDTV that I disassembled and soldered in a connection to directly wire it to the cars power supply. It's a 12v power cord so no need to do anything with the power just tapped right into the decks power line. I then cut off the IR sensor from the board and soldered some wires to the connection points on the board then soldered the wires to the removed IR sensor. Installed the WDTV on top of the deck behind the dash with some double stick tape ran the wires out the front and mounted the IR sensor on
  16. I still can't figure out why are there are "presets" and FM1, FM2, FM3, XM1, XM2, and XM3.....how about favorites and there are no limits on the amount of favorites. The switching from XM1 to XM2 is too damn slow and annoys me....would love to have like 20 stations stored and simply scan through those rather than dealing with going through the limited number of presets and then having to switch bands. on the 920bt I see the channel names.
  17. saved just fine for me....list works fine too.
  18. of course they are....why would they be the same......God I hate corporations.
  19. Avic Feeds worked on 4.3.1 or whatever I was on prior to moving to 5 but with 5 beta1 I couldn't get into the program it would just sit on the splash screen. When you say it doesn't work for you exactly how is it that it doesn't work? Do you not get into the app and can't search...can you not get the contacts you create to the radio?
  20. Sirius XM has commercials only on the clear channels operated music stations. It also has commercials on the talk channels....do you expect the show hosts to sit in a room for 4 hours straight and talk to you? What you miss with Slacker is the live content and talent that SXM provides. The only issue with SiriusXM is how shitty the pioneer engineers are. This probably applies to FM as well......why do we have XM1, XM2, and XM3 with a touchscreen device? Just give me 18 presets and let me scroll through them.
  21. beta 2 now gives album artwork when connected as an iPod but still no artwork via bluetooth, it does however pull all the artist and track information for both Pandora and iPod. My old Clarion VX400 allowed me to track forward in Pandora, Mog, iPod when connected via bluetooth but the Pioneer only lets me play and pause (boo). I couldn't get avic feeds to work at all with Beta1 works like a champ with beta2.
  22. umm why would you need cell signal for GPS? I'm not sure on MotionX but I would assume TomTom and Navigon will have a version that is compatible....if it is easy to build that is Optical drive I couldn't care less about....some will require it some won't...... it needed the iDen or whatever Pioneer calls it
  23. I saw a demo where they were running motionX and in order to leave the app and go to music they had to hit the button on the iPhone.......it seems like this radio is a good first step but not what I am after. No rear connection for HDRadio or Satellite radio.....FAIL!!!! AT&T is not fast enough for good streaming and no need to use up the bandwidth...not to mention the stream does not give me the same channels as an actual XM unit.
  24. is iGo the software of choice? I have used garmin and Navigon (iphone) and have been impressed with both of those.
