thats hillarious that you would place the blame on circut chity. and if any ass ever tried to take them me court then a simple: "i didnt do that" would pretty much put the blame right back on you.

if yall wanna see something funny check out a post over at the12volt.com (great site) i think its labeld the same as this one. its about that orlando browns f-650 and a huge cluster f of an install. it has links to good pics of the doors that are covered (and i mean covered) in duct tape ( i guess this is there high margin dynamat) and only 2 screws holding the speaikers into them. i guess orlando was so unhappy with it he took it somewhere else to have it all redone and the installer was more than happy to take pics and detail the "custom" work dont at unique whips. ohhh and what p

YOU PEOPLE ARE FUCD IN THE HEAD IF YOU THINK INSTALLERS ARE TAKING YOUR EQUIPMENT. now past installers that have now become full time crack heads, they may be your culprit! ive had a person reach in my window while im eating brekfast in my truck and grab my collar and try to pull me out the window all while shouting that after he came up to my shop yesterday i followed him to work and stole his 6 year old pioneer screen. i laughed as hard as i could at him and told him i have no use for a cheap old piece of shi tv (that always makes people feel dumb, when u explain how NOT ballin they are) -
2006/2007 Dodge Ram Truck VSS signal locations
hottwhyrd replied to 04ctd's topic in Vehicle Specific Wiring
HMMMM. which adapter did you use with your d3?? if you got a canbus adapter than it may include the vss wire. on all dodges 2002 and up there is no vss. i think some diesels and non hemi's may have them but on all those trucks you have to either get an adapter or simply dont hook it up -
ok if i read ur post right then ur problem is the navigation stops when u flip ur reverse switch right? thats because the avic thinks you should be backing up. are you saying that ur switch powers up the backup cam or does it only turn on ur reverse wire? the split screen should show ur backup cam whether ur in reverse or not if its powerd up all the time. at least thats what i can remember from my backup cam fun. good luck

wow this thred got fun after i left! im in a better mood today

actually for the money we pay you get what u get. considering what the avic is i think its worth every dollar! what kind of amp does the megellan have? hows the ipod interface.... u see where im going. dont mean to be a dick but i am working late tonight!
-
well if u got a chevy/gmc/cadillac tahoe/suburban/yukon/denali/escalade then i would only charge 75. 50 if i didnt need to cut the dash. but on these vehicles u got to just to cram all those modules in any aditional xm,ipod, or bluetooth modules are 20 bucks apiece its only this cheap cuz thats "THE" vehicle to put double dins in. id have to guess ive done at least 40 of them. and ima chevy man myself! woo

Looking for pics of a D3 in a 2005 Silverado........
hottwhyrd replied to RED903L's topic in Hacks/Mods
32 if the unit comes with a relay then thats not a problem. if it doesnt have a relay then you should wire one up yourself so u can use the RAP (the acc power till the door opens) -
i just made a post about this but i cant locate it right now. if the 2k doesnt work then u need 2 resistors of the same resistance. i used 1.4k remote wire from avic------resistor----remote out to sub---resistor---ground. doing this halves the voltage to 6v which the factory amp needs to turn on but not pop good luck

LOL JERK! that is an awesome feature tho
-
sounds like the dvd drive is bad. theres plenty of spare parts on ebay tho
-
USE THE BLUE/WHITE WIRE INSTEAD OF THE BLU WIRE! as easy as it gets next time bring me somethin tougher! lol
-
u can but u could also tap into an 8-10 gauge wire coming from your ign key. it should be red and there should be more than one. but if running to batery isnt a problem that will solve ur mem probs
-
CRAP MAN! hoped it would fix it fer ya. well im out of ideas. im sure people have told u to pull out ur bose system! but sounds like ur only choice. how many speakers are in ur ride? is there 1 amp running all the bose speakers or is each speaker amped? u may try to "bypass" the bose amp if the speakers will show a decent ohm load on the pioneer. im not familiar with that system so i couldnt tell u what ohm ur speakers are. good luck

i read a post on a ford forum about a quick fix. 2 resistors i used 1.4k remote wire from pioneer---resistor---remote out to amp---resistor--ground its kinda wierd to ground the end of the remote output but this effectively takes the 12v output and cuts it in half. wich is exactly what ford amps want. just thought id share
-
black white should be the ground for the amplifier!! so hook that to your ground asap! hopefully that takes care of it. and is the other wire org with black? if so thats illumination. dont need it hooked up

hottwhyrd replied to mrgoodbar67's topic in General
lol yup were "blessed" with the option of a 13 dollar monthly radio!!!! us americans really have it made -
LOL lots of competition on ur corners? did some one put u out of business? j/k
-
not on the d3 the z and n series will (dont know about the n4)
-
start your own business. maybe a street pharmacist? ive heard they make lots of monye!!!
-
if you already have it installed then you may need to power it off of the cigarette lighter on the dash (as long as it retains acc power)
-
if u buy a harness for that car then it will retain this. youll need a amp interface if u have the boston or infiniti system.

Speaker comes on and off periodically
hottwhyrd replied to bigman411's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
speakers most likely worn out. definitly check the connections at the deck before pulling the door off. but be ready to replace ur factory speakers
